Problem mit Intel 965 Grafik - Notebook

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe ein Problem mit der Konfiguration meines Monitors und meiner Grafik.

Ich besitze folgendes System:

- Open Suse 10.2
- Acer Travelmate 5720
- Mobile Intel (R) 965 Express Chipset
- 15,4` Display

Nach der Installation hat Linux eine Standardeinstellung vorgenommen. Wenn ich "Yast => Grafikkarte und Monitor" aufrufe, erscheint diese Meldung:

"Die Konfiguration basiert auf Framebuffer, und ihr System unterstützt keine Änderung der Auflösung bzw. der Farbeinstellung"

Ich kann zwar den Punkt "Monitor" auf "LCD 1280 x 800, 60 Hz" einstellen, allerdings ergibt sich keinerlei Änderung in der Darstellung.

Bei dem Punkt "Karte" steht "VESA Framebuffer Graphics", wo ich allerdings nur ein Icon "Optionen" habe, also hier keine andere Grafikkarte auswählen kann.

Weiß jemand einen Rat?

Ich hab jetzt mal Version 10.3 installiert (CD-KDE), in der Hoffnung, dass aktuelle Treiber integriert sind.

Leider klappt die Konfiguration immer noch nicht!

Hi,

schon mal mit dem Treiber "xserver-xorg-video-intel" versucht?

Hab mich gerade mal danach umgeschaut.

Bin auf folgende Version gestoßen, die aber wie viele andere als instabil angegeben wird:
xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.1.1-4_i386.deb

Folgende Fragen sind mir dabei neu entstanden:


1.) Welche Version ist für den 965 Express Chipset zu empfehlen?
2.) Wie funktioniert die Installation dieses Debian-Archivs in OpenSuse 10.3. ?

Ich hab das Problem vorerst gelöst!

Zufällig hab ich im Yast in die Versionshinweise geschaut. Dort steht unter der Überschrift "Ältere Intel Grafik Chips", dass in Version 10.3 eine neuer Intel-Treiber integriert ist, welcher beim Updaten von z.B. 10.2 (hab ich gemacht) nicht automatisch eingebunden wird.
Mit dem Befehl: sax2 -r hab ich ihn dann brav aktiviert. Und siehe da: in der Monitor-Konfig tauchen endlich die ersehnten Optionen auf.

Ich habe auch eine Intel 965 GM Grafikkarte.
Verwende SUSE 10.3 und habe ein ähnliches Problem.
Ich habe keine 3D unterstützung.

hat sich nach einem neustart erledigt :) das hätte ich auch früher ausprobieren können

EDIT: das ist vielleicht komisch, jetzt ist die 3d Unterstützung wieder weg :(

Unter SUSE konnte ich das Problem zwar nicht lösen, aber mit Ubuntu geht es einwandfrei.

Vielleicht hilft das ja jemandem.
