WPA(2) mit IPW2200 und Fritz!Box klappt nicht

Hallo,

ich habe hier ein sehr merkwürdiges Problem: Mein Notebook mit ipw2200 kriegt keine Verbindung zu einer Fritz!Box mit WPA bzw. WPA2 aufgebaut. Es scheint auch alles richtig konfiguriert zu sein und mein anderer Linux-PC mit einer älteren WLAN-Karte (irgendwas mit Prism mit WPA-Unterstützung geflasht, HostAP-Treiber) funktioniert dagegen problemlos, solange nicht NetworkManager eingesetzt wird. Eingesetzt wird auf beiden Rechnern Ubuntu Feisty. Während jedoch die Fritz!Box Probleme macht, klappt die Verbindung zu einem anderen Router (T-Sinus, Modell weiß ich nicht, steht in meiner Studentenbude) einwandfrei - sogar mit NetworkManager.

Nein. Das Netzwerk wird ja auch in NetworkManager angezeigt. Es wird ja auch der Netzwerkschlüssel abgefragt und korrekt erkannt, was für eine Verschlüsselung aktiviert ist, nur die Verbindung haut dann nicht hin.

Du könntest noch ein wenig mit den Einstellungen spielen.

Warum proto=RSN? Bei mir heißt es proto=WPA.
scan_ssid=0 statt 1
pairwise hat bei mir pairwise=CCMP TKIP,
dafür habe ich bei group nur group=TKIP

Auf einer anderen Maschine habe ich beim selben Router diese Werte:

psk=***************************
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
proto=WPA
pairwise=TKIP
group=TKIPIch musste auch einiges rumprobieren...

Hab jetzt mal verschiedenes ausprobiert - leider ohne Erfolg.

RSN steht für WPA2, aber auch WPA klappt nicht (im Router sind beide Verfahren aktiviert).

Mit welchem Befehl lässt Du wpa_supplicant auf die Karte los?

wpa_supplicant -i eth1 -D wext -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf -d

Statt wext habe ich auch mal ipw ausprobiert - mit demselben Erfolg. Einziger Unterschied ist, dass man manchmal Meldungen der Form "ioctl[IPW_IOCTL_WPA_SUPPLICANT]: Operation not supported" erhält.

Ja, das geht problemlos.


Was mir auch noch auffällt, dass man ohne den Parameter "-d" (also nicht im Debug-Modus) immer als Meldung "Authentication with 00:00:00:00:00:00 timed out." kriegt, obwohl wpa_supplicant zuvor die MAC-Adresse des APs anzeigt.

Geschafft! Habe den Funkkanal des Routers gewechselt und dann hat es geklappt. Warum, verstehe ich zwar nicht, da die anderen Rechner keine Probleme machen, aber Hauptsache es klappt. Vielen Dank für die Hilfe!

Beim Aufbau eines WLAN ist es gut, schrittweise vorzugehen ;)

Der Funkkanal kann auch großen Einfluss auf die Verbindungsqualität habe. Ich habe auch schon bei Standortwechsel des Routers den Kanal wechseln müssen...

Gut, ich muss mich korrigieren: Bei jeder Änderung/Störung im WLAN ist es hilfreich, die Konfiguration schrittweise (neu) aufzubauen ;)
