Hi,
als Gentoo User habe ich gleich mal für meine alte WLan Karte, die bisher in einem anderen Rechner unter Windows diente, die acx Treiber emerged. => fehlerfrei.
nach modprobe acx (ohne Rückmeldung, ohne Fehler) erscheint wlan0 in iwconfig.
also versuche ich gleich mal die essid etc. anzugeben => kein Fehler o.ä.
da nichts geht, teste ich mal iwlist scan und erhalte:
iwlist scan
eth0 Interface doesn't support scanning.
lo Interface doesn't support scanning.
eth1 Interface doesn't support scanning.
wlan0 Interface doesn't support scanning : Resource temporarily unavailable
Da das nicht so sein sollte, wage ich dies:
dmesg|grep wlan0

Liegt es nun an dem Treiber oder "nur" an den Einstellungen, die ich mit iwconfig festgelegt habe?
Danke für Tipps/Hinweise, denn irgendwie gibt mir das System recht wenig Rückmeldung.
PS: Peinliche Frage: Gibt es auch ein WLan-Konfig Tool, wie ich es von Knoppix noch in Erinnerung habe?
