Hallo zusammen!

Beim Einhängen des vsftpd an unser LDAP - Directory sind wir auf ein mehr oder minder großes Problem gestoßen. Da die dort eingetragenen User natürlich auch Home - Verzeichnisse eingetragen haben (Stichwort Samba), versucht auch der FTP - Server gleich nach dem Login in diese zu wechseln. Und genau hier liegt das Problem, denn die Verzeichnisse existieren natürlich nicht auf dem Server. Da es sich nicht unbedingt um wenige User handelt, können bzw. wollen wir die Home - Verzeichnisse auch nicht jedes Mal manuell anlegen.

Zu diesem Zweck gibt es ja das pam_mkhomedir.so Modul. Ändert man z.B. die Datei /etc/pam.d/ssh entsprechend, wird auch ordentlich das Home - Verzeichnis erstellt, sollte es vorher nicht schon existiert haben. Komischerweise funktioniert dies bei /etc/pam.d/vsftpd leider nicht!

Natürlich könnten wir alle User generell in ein anderes Verzeichnis "umleiten". Da alle User aber prinzipiell vollen Zugriff erhalten (Server nur im lokalen Netz ;) ) und nur wenige User wirklich in einer CHROOT-Umgebung landen sollen, ist das auch nicht der richtige Weg, da ja weiterhin das Problem der nicht existierenden Home - Directories besteht. Unabhängig davon, ob der User nun in der CHROOT - Liste steht oder eben nicht.

Hat da jemand eine Idee, was da falsch laufen könnte? Oder funktioniert das angesprochene pam_mkhomedir.so - Modul nicht mit vsftpd?

Auf dem Server läuft ein SLES9 (ServicePack 3).
VSFTPD - Version ist 2.0.2-3

Problem hat sich erledigt.
Ich bin auf PROFTPD umgestiegen, wo es diese Funktion gibt.
"CreateHome on"
