Kennt jemand zufällig den Typhoon DVD-Maker und weiss ob und wenn dann wie man diesen unter Linux zum laufen bekommt?

Versuche es mit ManDVD oder DeVeDe oder DVD Author oder DVD Wizzard

habe die Box hier auch liegen, gerade aber nichts, womit ich das Signal testen könnte.

Laut dem Output funktioniert das Gerät mit den im Kernel integrierten V4L-Treibern :)

My German is good enough to read, but not to write; hope English is OK.

I have similar device with the same chip (em2860) and was able to get it working with the instructions found here:

Basically I had to get the latest driver and install it. After that the USB card was recognised automatically and the em28xx driver activated.

In brief for debian/ubuntu systems:


sudo apt-get install mercurial
hg clone http://mcentral.de/hg/~mrec/v4l-dvb-experimental
cd v4l-dvb-kernel
make
sudo make install

Then reboot the machine and plug in the USB cable. From dmesg you should see that it was recognized and /dev/video0 created.

However, the only video client that was able to make use of the stream was old xawtv. It is good for watching, but not captuing on hard disc to make DVDs. I hope next versions of mplayer or vlc will manage better.

Also Ekiga was able to handle the stream.
