Moin!
Ich habe gerade ein neues System aufgebaut und würde gern ProFTPd als FTP-Server nutzen! Bisher habe ich ausschließlich vsftpd genutzt, mit dem ich auch wirklich sehr zufrieden war! Doch möchte ich nun ISP4You einsetzen, und das kann mit vsftpd nicht umgehen! Die Empfehlen proFTPd!
Leider habe ich bisher noch kein proFTPd RPM für die OpenSuse 10.2 finden können! Kann da vielleicht jemand helfen und einen Link posten?
PS: Bevor wieder so´ne Kommentare von wegen "Compiliere es dir doch selbst!" kommen, lasst es sein! Ich suche einfach nur eine RPM!!!!

Den Link hatte ich zwar schon! Allerdings bin ich da seit knapp einer Woche nicht mehr draufgekommen! Eben hat´s geklappt!

Hmmm, nun habe ich die RPM installiert, bekomme beim Starten von proFTPd aber immer folgende Fehlermeldung:
Starting proftpd - IPv6 getaddrinfo 'my.domain.de' error: Name or service not known
..failed
Kann jemand einen Tip geben??
PS: Die Domain ist natürlich geändert worden! Da steht dann schon meine drin!!
Wie sieht denn deine Config aus? Du solltest für diese Domain IPV6 nicht einschalten.

Ich gehe mal davon aus das Du die proftpd.conf meinst und die sieht so aus:

Setze einen richtigen Hostname für deinen Rechner, der auch aufgelöst werden kann. Du kannst den entsprechenden Namen auch einfach in der /etc/hosts hinzufügen.
$ host my.domain.de
Host my.domain.de not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

Wie oben schon beschrieben steht an der Stelle my.domain.de natürlich der Name des Systems!! Welcher übrigens auch in der HOSTS steht!

Ach, dann weißt du also woran es liegt? Glückwunsch!
Schau dir nochmal die Fehlermeldung an von ProFTPd an, dann die Ausgabe von (Hostname einsetzen)
dig example.org aaaa
Ein Blick in die Logs könnte übrigens auch nicht schaden.
