Hallo

Ich hoffe ich bin im richtigen Forum gelandet, wenn nciht bitte verschieben.

Ich habe folgendes Problem seid SuSE 9.1 ..
Ich nutze zur eit die 10.1 es scheint das die Maschine nach einem bestimmten Traffic einfach stehen bleibt.
Zumindest ist es so, das irgendwann die Kiste einfach stehen bleibt, Netzlaufwerke weg und nur noch ein reset hilft.
Eigenartig ist auch das nach einem Boot das netzwerk sehr langsam ist, erst ein rcnetwork restart hilft. Nur bleibt die Kiste dann wie gesagt irgendwann stehen. Wenn ich es eingrenzen müsste würde ich sagen nach einem Traffic von ca 150 GB ist sense.
Ich habe folgende Konfiguration
AMD Duron 1000, 1 GB Infineon Ram, Asus Board (weiss grad nciht genau welches) eine SIS 100MB Netzwerkkarte. Als Graka ist eine Nvidia Ti 4200 verbaut. Die Kiste läuft nur als Web und Fileserver.

Zur lösung des Problems habe ich schon folgendes getan.
Die SIS onboard NWK gegen eine Realtek getauscht = selbes Problem
Ram 2x komplett ausgetauscht.
Board konnte noch nciht gewechselt werden da ich die Dinger leider nciht auf Halde liegen habe.

Hat jemand vieleicht eine Idee?

Hast Du von 9.1 auf 10.1 upgegraded oder neu installiert? Der Versionssprung ist nämlich recht heftig...

Steht etwas in den Logs (/var/log), insbesondere /var/log/messages?

Kommst Du mit <alt><strg><F1..F6> auf ein Terminal und kannst von dort hängende Prozesse erkennen und ggf. killen (top, ps)?

Nein ist eine komplette neu installation, hab das Problem mit folgenden SuSE Versionen 9.1 // 9.2 // 10.1 Die 10.1 ist jetzt in gebrauch.

In den Logs steht garnichts verwertbares, da die Kiste komplett steht, ein weiteres einloggen auf eine konsole ist nicht möglich, wie gesagt nur der reset taster hilft :/

Ich habe mal das lezte boot.log ausgelesen und poste es, vieleicht hilf das weiter.

Auch wenn du den RAM schon getauscht hast: Hast Du schonmal memtest über die Maschine laufen lassen bzw. sukzessive Speicherbausteine weggelassen? Bist Du sicher, daß alle verbauten Speicherriegel kompatibel mit dem System sind?
