i have installed DSL.
at the first boot i have to enter a password, but my keyboard on my notebook doesnt work. how can i type a password?

if you mean "I don't see anything when I type the password" - that's ok. The password isn't prompted, not even with "*" like it is in windows.

So just type the password and hit enter and then enjoy :-)

ok i see nothing but the cursor is on the same position after typing something.

The cursor isn´t moving when you enter your password. Or doesn´t the Cursor work when you enter the username?

May your hardware is not supported by kernel 2.4 ...
Do you have a USB keyboard?
