Logitec QuickCam Sphere wird nicht erkannt

Hallo,

habe heute meine neue Webcam bekommen, wollte natuerlich gleich loslegen, aber nichts ist, krieg sie nicht zum laufen :(

Hab schon pwc installiert und geladen, cam steckt aber in der syslog erscheint nix bzgl der cam (nur zum camdriver) und es gibt kein /dev/video*
Wenn man sie abzieht und wieder dransteckt "blinkt" die led an der cam kurz auf, geht aber sofort wieder aus.


Langsam weiß ich nicht mehr weiter, habt ihr einen Tipp?

In der Syslog wirst du kaum etwas finden, wenn du pwc nicht als Modul laedst.
Von daher ist die Ausgabe von "dmesg" und "lsusb" interessant.

Noe, nicht generell.

Dein Board unterstuetzt USB-2.0 und dein Kernel EHCI?

"bei dir ists ein modul. du brauchst kein usb2 und ehci - pwc ist usb 1.1 (aber ehci + ohci/uhci laeuft trotzdem). Dein Kernel supportet es - das macht das pwc..das ist ein Kernelmodul."

sagt mein linux pate (der mittlerweile mit seiner weisheit auch am ende ist)

Danke fuer eure Hilfe. Habs jetzt nochmal an nem Windows Rechner versucht, da funktioniert sie auch nicht, denke mal hardwareseitig defekt.
