Squirrelmail vom Client

Hallo,

ich habe immer noch das Problem das ich vom Client PC kein Squirrelmail aufrufen kann.

Ich habe einen Postfix-Server (Suse 9.3) mit Cyrus. Auf dem selben Server läuft ein Apache mit mehreren virtuellen hosttes.
Wenn ich auf dem Server (IP 172.29.170.12) http://localhost/squirrelmail/ aufrufen, meldet sich Squirrelmail.
Wenn ich auf dem Server (IP172.29.170.12) oder auf einem Client (IP 172.29.172.20) http://172.29.170.12/squirrelmail/ aufrufe, bekomme ich eine Fehlermaldung vom Apache "Error 404" Objekt nicht gefunden.

Wo liegt mein Fehler??

Kannst Du denn vom Client irgendeine HTML-Seite von deinem Webserver abrufen?

Wenn gar nichts kommt, liegt das eher an der Konfig deines Apaches (inkl. der Dateirechte im Documentroot).
Lege doch zum Test mal eine kleine test.html in das Documentroot und versuche darauf zuzugreifen. Wenn das auch nicht geht, hat es mit Squirrel nix zu tun.

Mein Apache läuft. Ich kann die Hauptseite und alle viertuellen Hosts vom Netzwerk und Internet aus aufrufen. Nur der Squirrelmail geht nicht. Muss ich dem irgendwo eine Freigabe erteilen????

Man kann Apache ziemlich granular mitteilen, was von wo abgerufen werden darf. Es kann schon sein, dass dein Apache eher restriktiv konfiguriert ist und du neue Verzeichnisse in der httpd.conf oder einer vhost-Conf erst für den Zugriff von non-localhost freigeben musst.

Sieh dir mal genau deine Configs dazu an. Und/oder .htaccess-Files.

Testweise kannst du ja mal ein beliebiges Verzeichnis in der Serverroot erstellen und dort ein test.html reinlegen. Wird vielleicht dasselbe Problem sein.

danke für die Schnelle Antwort. Wenn ich einen vhost für squirrelmail anlegen muss, wass gebe ich den dann als rootverzeichnis an?

Habe gestern mal aus spass einen v-host angelegt, mit dem Verzeichnis srv/www/htdocs/squirrelmail/ das hat nicht funktioniert.
