Hab jetzt auf meiner Linux Box (Kubuntu 6.06.1) die akuellen NVidia-Treiber installiert, da die Kubuntu-Treiber anscheinend nur mit dem orginal I386 Kernel funktionieren (und nicht mit dem nachinstallierten 686er SMP-Kernel).
Die Treiberinstallation funktionierte soweit Problemlos, nur komm ich jetzt nicht mehr auf eine Auflösung von 1280x1024. Wenn ich in der xorg.conf den Treiber zurück auf "nv" stelle, startet der X-Server in 1280x1024 - mit dem NVidia Treiber aber nur auf 1024x768.
In der Logfile von x.org ist zu finden, dass der NVidia-Treiber der Meinung ist, dass die Modeline für 1280x1024@60Hz (und andere) nicht mit meinem TFT funktioniert (welchen er aber korrekt erkennt).

Die xorg.conf hänge ich als Textfile noch mit an. Die Datei ist von Kubuntu generiert und von mir für die NVidia-Treiber geändert.
