[Debian] Was tun nach Nvidia nForce Installation?

Hi,

nach langem hin und her, habe ich nun Debian mit 2.6er Kernel und nForce Treiber zum Laufen bekommen. :)
Und weiter gehts mit den Problemen...
Alsa habe ich alle empfohlenen Pakete installiert, nach Installation vom Treiber <alsaconf> bringt nichts. :(
lspci spuckt das gleiche aus wie immer. :confused:
Die Dokumentation auf der Nvidia Page ist nicht sehr hilfreich...

Dein Board hat anscheinend keine Soundstormeinheit (MCP-T) was die Sache vermutlich nicht 1:1 übertragbar macht, aber egal, wir versuchen es zusammen.

Ich weis nicht, wie Du Debian installiert hast, aber das System dazu zu bringen, den N-Force Treiber zu installieren ist recht einfach.

Dann die Kernelsourcen installiert und dann den nforce Audio + Networktreiber.

lshw ist ein paket was du installieren musst.

apt-get install lshw

Neben den sources brauchst du vielleicht noch die headers und den kernel patch. hast du auch definitiv die richtigen sources und headers installiert (also die die zu deinem kernel passen) ?

überprüfe das mit:
apt-get install synaptic

starte synaptic und suche nach "kernel"

Nutzt du Gnome oder KDE ?
Hast du gdm oder kdm installiert ? (das solltest du bei der erstinstallation erstmal weglassen, so dass du nach dem neustart nur die konsole hast, denn damit geht der nforce treiber problemlos zu installieren.

Die IP ist wurscht, wenn debian alles findet und der router die verbindung auf anfrage sofort freigibt.

du hast keine n-force treiber installiert, zumindest wird er nicht verwendet, schau mal ob das modul "nvsound" geladen wird.

Wie siehts mit der IP-Adresse aus?

So installier ich Debain mit allen Treibern. Du kannst natürlich auch den Spiegelserver verwenden um alle Pakete zu ziehen und ignorierst einfach alles was ich zu meinem Fileserver geschrieben habe. Da ich nur DSL-light (384) habe, dauert mir das einfach zu lang, alles übers I-Net zu ziehen. Mit dem Fileserver geht die Installation in weniger als einer Minute.

1. Net Boot CD booten
2. keine Desktop-Umgebung installieren (also nix auswählen), danach zieht er automatisch ca. 60MB aus dem Netz von dem Spiegelserver
3. Ich konfiguriere den Fileserverzugriff
apt-get install smbfs mc
4. Ich mounte den Fileserver in meinen lokalen Verzeichnisbaum
mount -t smbfs -o lfs //***.***.*.***/RAID5SRV /mnt/server
4. Ich konfiguriere apt so, daß alle Pakete meines Fileservers verwendet werden
apt-setup
apt-get update
5. Ich ziehe mir die Desktopumgebung
apt-get install x-window-system-core gnome-core gksu synaptic
6. Neustart
In der Befehlszeile "startx" eingeben
7. Erneut das mounten des Fileservers nicht vergessen
8. synaptic ausführen
kernel-source kernel-patch kernel headers installieren
9. X-Window beenden
10. Gforce und Nforce Treiber installieren
11. Automatische X-Window Umgebung starten lassen
apt-get install gdm

Danach geht bei mir fast alles. Für den "nvsound" muß allerdings noch
- alsa-base
- alsa-headers
- asla-mixer-gui
- alsa-oss
- alsa-utils
installiert werden.

Warum er alsa Sachen benötigt, obwohl er doch OSS nutzt ist leider unklar und kann mit dem bei mir verwendeten MCP-T (Soundstorm) zusammenhängen. Jedenfalls wird erst nach der Installation der obigen Pakete das Modul "nvsound" korrekt und vollständig geladen.

Zu Deiner IP Problematik kann ich leider nix sagen, da ich davon nur sehr wenig Ahnung habe. Bei mir funzt alles "out-of-the-box" darum habe ich mich damit nie beschäftigt (SMC 2804WBR).

Wie meinen? Um Dinge aus dem Internet runterzuladen muss man keine Ports forwarden. Es sei denn, es gibt FC5 nur per ed2k oder torrent (und auch dann gehts ohne forwarding).
Dinge, die ungefragt aus dem Internet kommen, die man aber trotzdem haben will (anfragen auf den eigenen http-Server z.B.) bruachen ein Portforwarding am Router. Bei Dingen, die man selber angefragt hat (Webseiten etc) weiss der Router ja schon, wo sie hinsollen.

Welche Fehlermeldung kommt, wenn du versuchst, das modul mit "modprobe nvsound" zu laden (als root natürlich)? Was sagen danach die letzten 10 Zeilen von "dmesg"?

- Es gibt doch auch eine LOG Datei für die Nvidia Installation ?
- Baut er denn überhaupt das Modul ?
- Was machst Du nach der Installation um die korrekte Installation zu prüfen ?
- Vergiss nach der Installation alles was mit Alsa zu tun hat, das System verwendet KEIN Alsa, gebe also zu Prüfung "nvmixer" ein und schaue auf der Info-Seite ob was geht, oder nicht.

modprobe nvsound, ergibt nichts, d.h. es gibt mir nichts aus und es passiert auch nichts...
xmms findet immer noch kein Ausgabe-Plugin, egal wa sich einstelle, alsa, oss...

Zu der IP... wenn ich in Windows z.B. Bittorrent benutze um mir ein Linux ISO zu ziehen, muss ich dafür am Router Ports forwarden... Fällt das bei Linux nun etwa weg?

Nein, es geht allerdings (ja, auch unter Windows) ohne Forwarding. Der Download ist dann halt langsamer, weil dir nicht mehr alle Quellen zur Verfügung stehen.

Nein, kein Sound, habe es in der Bash probiert.
Komischerwiese funktioniert nur der ALSA-Befehl zum absielen (also wenn er überhaupt was ausgibt, an Meldungen) dann nur mit aplay... :/
