Hallo Leute
Ich versuche schon seit Tagen meine WLAN Konfiguration (besteht aus einem 3Com Managed WLAN Switch WXR100 und 2 Managed Access Points AP) zum laufen zu kriegen.
Wir betreiben einen SUSE9 EP Server wo ca 15Clients dran hängen. DHCP und DNS funktioniert. Leider kann unser AP der im Netzwerk hängt nur keine Verbindung zu seinem Switch aufbauen, da er auf eine IP Adresse wartet und diese anscheinend nur über die Option 43 erhält (noch nie zuvor von Option 43 gehört).
3 Com schreibt dazu folgendes:
Method 1: (Option 43 with list of Wireless Switch IP addresses): If the DHCP server has provided the DAP with the option 43 information, then the DAP will use the IP address list provided in the DHCP option 43 to request its operational code from this specific Wireless Swtiches. The DHCP option 43 field provides a simple and effective way for DAP to find WX switches accross an intermediate layer 3 network and is especially useful in networks that are geographically distributed or have a flat domain name space. You can use option 43 field to provide a list of WX IP addresses, without the need to configure DNS Servers. To use DHCP option 43,configure the option to contain a comma-separated list of WX IP Addresses or hostnames, in the following format: ip:ip-addr1,ip-addr2,... or host:hostname1,hostname2,...
Ich finde jedoch nirgens eine Möglichkeit meinen DHCP Server mit dieser Option zu füttern.
Wäre toll wenn jemand Erfahrung mit so etwas hat, denn mitlerweile steh ich echt an...
