reverse mapping checking getaddrinfo for userxxx.xxxx.local failed
Hallo,
wenn ich mich mit putty an meinen Suse 10 Server anmelde kommt die Namenseingabeaufforderung sofort.
Ich gebe den namen ein und drücke ENTER.
Nach ca. 30 sekunden kommt die Passwort eingabe aufforderung. Etwas arg lange für meinen geschmack. Parallel dazu (also nach ablauf der 30sek.) wir in /var/log/messages die oben gennante Fehlermeldung geschrieben.

Beim googeln habe ich erfahren, das man VerifyReverseMapping abschalten kann.

Also:
cat sshd_config |grep VerifyReverseMapping
Keine Ausgabe!
Also Zeile einfügen:
VerifyReverseMapping no
Beim sshd restart kam folgende Meldung:
Starting SSH daemon/etc/ssh/sshd_config line 30: Deprecated option VerifyReverseMapping


Wo kann ich VerifyReverseMapping abstellen (für ssh). Ich will nicht 30 sek warten?
Bei unserem Debian Server geht das auch ohne die 30s.
Der Server ist in einem Sicheren lokalen Netzwerk, also VerifyReverseMapping ist bei ssh nicht notwendig. (Zumal die durchgefallenen Leute sich eh nach 30 sek anmelden können)

Poste doch bitte die vollständige config.
Wie dir die Fehlermeldung ja auch sagt, ist die Option "VerifyReverseMapping" veraltet und wird nicht mehr verwendet (daher bringt dein grep auch nichts).

Die Option "VerifyReverseMapping" [ist] veraltet und wird nicht mehr verwendet.
Was wäre denn die aktuelle Methode, um Reserve Mapping auszustellen?
Oder liegt der Hase wo anders begraben?

UseDNS deaktivieren. http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi?query=sshd_config lesen hilft übrigens. ;)
