Ich bin dran, bei regelmässigem Fortschritt, Gothic 1 mit wine spielbar zum laufen zu bringen.
Und zwar benutze ich ein wine, das diesen ddraw patch benutzt:

bzw. einfach diese Version:

Ich habe sie kompiliert :"make depend & make" (kein install, sondern direkt aus dem verzeichnis heraus benutzt (ein symlinks namens "wine"))
Gothic über den installer installiert und 1.08k Patch eingespielt (beides geht auch mit unshield+cabextract)
Sichergestellt, dass im Gothic Verzeichnis ein "Saves"-Verzeichnis vorhanden ist.
"_work/DATA/video" habe ich umbenannt.
In system/GOTHIC.INI habe ich den Eintrag
musicEnabled=1
durch
musicEnabled=0
ersetzt.
In winecfg hab ich für GOTHIC.EXE das Betriebssystem WinXP eingestellt.
Der Window-Manager hat keine Kontrolle über GOTHIC.EXE
Kann hier jemand, der Gothic 1 hat, das genau so nachmachen und die Stabilität prüfen?
Erstmal ne ganze Weile in der Welt rumlaufen
Wenn es einen stabilen Eindruck macht auch ab und zu speichern und laden und in die alte Mine rein- und rausgehen usw bzw. einfach Quests machen.
Die Instabilität hab' ich auf einem zweiten Debian Sid System reproduzieren können, aber einer, der auf der app-db von wine gepostet hat, kann es unter gentoo angeblich stabil spielen, obwohl sich die Vorgehensweise nicht wesentlich unterscheidet.
Daher gehts jetzt darum diesen "stabilen" Zustand zu reproduzieren.
Wär nicht übel :D
Und wenns abstürzt, dann bitte die Art des Absturzes beschreiben (+ Letzte Zeilen aus der Konsole, leider hab ich selbst grad nix zur Hand von meinen Abstürzen) und inwiefern eure Konfiguration vom "Standard" abweicht.
Bei mir war das Problem immer, dass Gothic entweder plötzlich beendete
Oder aber das Bild ist eingefroren ist und nach ca. einer Minute wurde Gothic beendet. Scheint ne Art deadlock zu sein. Da bin ich mir aber nich sicher.

Und jetzt kommt nach gewisser Zeit stattdessen "Unknown type: Y" (Entsprechende Vervollständigung hab' ich nun auch gebastelt, wobei ich mir noch COM genauer ansehen muss, damit ich weiss, dass sie stimmt)
Keine Ahnung, was ich da mache. Wieso wird zur Laufzeit von Gothic überhaupt Objekt-Code demangled? Wo dieser Code dann eingesetzt wird, weiss ich auch nicht. Vielleicht mach ich mit der (Halb-)Vervollständigung des Codes bloss irgendwas inkonsistent, sonst wär das ja schon drin. (Wobei, das dann ja irgendwo dokumentiert sein müsste. Oder wird der Code einfach "bei Bedarf" erweitert?)

Tjoah, hilft nich. Mein Spiel stürzt aber nicht willkürlich, sondern reproduzierbar nach einer bestimmten Zeit ab. Grr.

Hir mal mein kompletter post bis zum absturt von Gothic2 (Demo) nach ca 3min Spielzeit
ich verwendete die gleichen settings wie du
Mir scheint es das der absturz doch so ziemlich an der gleichen stelle vorkam wie das letzte mal als ich spielte immer wen ein weises objekt auftaucht also eines ohne texturen stürzt Gothic ab bei mir zwischen Xardas und Lobarts hof
