Hallo Leute!

Habe cyrus imap auf SUSE 10 konfiguriert und kann mit thunderbird von einem winclient rechner zugreifen nur ich sehe die mails nicht hole sie mit fetchmail ab und lege sie in den ordner /var/spool/mail

hat da jemand eine erklärung?

Damit du die Mails lesen kannst brauchst du noch ein MTA (postfix, sendmail, qmail, oder exim) diese leiten die Mails an cyrus weiter und dann kannst du erst mit Thunderbird die Mails abholen bzw. lesen. Hier im Forum gibt es reichlich viele Dokumentationen oder ich würde dir das hier (http://www.linux-tin.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=PagEd&file=index&topic_id=2&page_id=11) empfehlen.

Cyrus IMAP nutzt ein proprietäres, an Maildir angelehntes, Format zur Speicherung der Mails. Du mußt die Mails entweder mit cyrdeliver (in manchen Distributionen auch einfach nur deliver) oder via LMTP an den lmtpd ausliefern.

habe MTA konfiguriert und Auslieferungsmodus An Cyrus-Imap Server eingestellt.

die mails liegen jetzt im homverzeichniss des Benutzers kann dort jedes einzelne mail öffnen und anschauen (local) ! mit thunderbird sehe ich nichts!
deliver ist auch eingestellt in master.cf

Das ist falsch, die Mails müssen (via cyrdeliver!) in /var/spool/imap/ landen bzw. in dem Verzeichnis, das in deiner imapd.conf unter partition-default steht.

Und bevor wir weiter rumstochern, poste endlich `postconf -n` und deine master.cf.

Ist der Socket unter /var/lib/imap/socket/lmtp erreichbar und nimmt dein Cyrus IMAP darauf Mails an? Wenn nicht er nicht erreichbar ist, wird das Kommando in mailbox_command zur Auslieferung benutzt. Dann kommt es auf deine procmail-Konfiguration an. Ein Blick in deine Mail Logs wäre sicherlich auch nicht verkehrt (und zur Übung machst du das erstmal selbst ;)).

Du solltest erstmal das in der Fehlermeldung genannte smtp_sasl_password_maps setzen. Danach überprüfst du, ob /var/lib/imap/socket/lmtp existiert und du dort Mails einkippen kannst. Ansonsten mailbox_transport auf cyrus ändern und den korrespondierenden Eintrag in der master.cf an dein System anpassen. Wenn du das nicht willst, kannst du die Mails auch über procmail und cyrdeliver an Cyrus IMAP leiten. Die unterscheidung der einzelnen Benutzer ist dann aber etwas haarig.
