ich verwende fedora core 5.

Wahrscheinlich greift noch irgend ein Auto-Mounter auf das Laufwerk zu.
Du koenntest versuchen, mit "lsof /dev/hdc" rauszubekommen, welches Programm genau es ist und es zu beenden.

eingebe. bekomme ich keine ausgabe.

kann nur als root brennen. problem gelöst. :D

Dann versuchs nochmal mit "Settings ->k3b Setup"; eventuell stimmen die device-Rechte nicht.
