SUSE 10 - kein sound AC97 Audio controller

Hallo liebe Fachleute!
Nach der Installation wurde die soundkarte sofort erkannt (VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio controller)
Leider ist jedoch nichts zu hören!?
Auch alsaconf lief einwandfrei durch! - Aber auch hier war kein Ton zu vernehmen!?

alsamixer macht folgende Angaben:

Card: Conexant CX8801 │
│ Chip: CX88 │
│ View: [Playback] Capture All



Und dann noch etwas komisches: - Beim Aufruf von kaffeine um fernzusehen (dvb-s) gibt es folgende Fehlermeldung: Initialisierung aller Audiotreiber fehlgeschlagen.

Kmix habe ich ganz "aufgedreht"

In der Hoffnung, dass mir jemand helfen kann!?

Alsamixer gibt als Audiocontroller Conexant an!
Auch unter yast wird bei meiner TV-Karte als soundkarte Conexant angegeben.
Wenn ich mir die Soundkarte alleine zeigen lasse wird mir AC97 angezeigt.
Scheinbar stört Conexant!?
