dhcpd reagiert nicht

hallo,
hab auf meinen rechner (soll als terminalserver fungieren) fedora linux core 5 und ltsp 4.1 installiert. eigentlich sollte der dhcpd-dienst beim systemstart mit starten, doch da sieht man beim hochfahren schon die meldung "fehlgeschlagen".
auch wenn fedora dann geladen ist lässt dhcpd nichts mit sich machen, er reagiert weder auf start noch auf stop und ist immer im status "dhcpd wurde angehalten", siehe unten.

[root@linux-terminalserver ~]# service dhcpd status
dhcpd wurde angehalten
[root@linux-terminalserver ~]# service dhcpd start
dhcpd starten: [FEHLGESCHLAGEN]
[root@linux-terminalserver ~]# service dhcpd stop
dhcpd herunterfahren: [FEHLGESCHLAGEN]

hab auch schon mal deinstalliert und wieder neu installiert, bringt alles nix. was mir aufgefallen ist das wenn man die pakete zum installieren aus dem netz läd er irgendnen schlüssel(irgendwas mit red hat) benötigt oder mit runterläd, keine ahnung ob das mit dem problem zu tun hat!?
hat jemand ne idee was das problem ist und oder weiss ne lösung?

Installieren alleine bringt auch nix. Konfigurieren muesstest du ihn schon.
Aber wie schon mein Vorposter sagte:
Ohne Logeintraege wird das nix.

Die Schluessel sollen sicherstellen, dass dir nicht irgend ein boeswilliger Mensch manipulierte Pakete unterschiebt (also dass die Pakete wirklich von RedHat selbst stammen, nicht von einem Cracker, der es geschafft hat, sie auf dem Updateserver von RH unterzubringen).

die dhcp.conf hab ich an meinen system schon angepasst falls du das mit konfigurieren meinst.

Da steht doch was los ist --> falsch konfiguriert, Tippfehler...

Schon dumm wenn man ständig alles kleinschreibt und irgendwann nicht mehr in der Lage ist überhaupt was richtig zu schreiben.

Die dhcpd.conf hat aus irgendwelchen Gründen die von mir eingegebenen Parameter nicht behalten, hab jetzt alles nochmal neu und übersichtlich eingetragen und nun funktionierts auch.
Danke für die Hilfe und ich werde mich mal daran anhalten in punkto Rechtschreibung usw.

Kannst du mir auch verraten wie ich den DHCP in den "Autostart" bringen kann?

Ja, kann ich ausnahmsweise auch wenn das überall bestens erklärt ist:

Fedora kennt diese sieben Runlevel:

0: Halt (Beendet alle Dienste und schaltet den Computer aus)
1: Einzelnutzer, kein Netzwerk (Lässt nur Anmeldung als root zu)
2: Einzelnutzer mit Netzwerk (s.o.)
3: Textmodus (startet alle angegebenen Dienste, aber keine grafische Oberfläche - üblicher Modus für Server) 4: derzeit unbenutzt
5: Grafische Umgebung (startete alle angegebenen Dienste einschließlich der grafischen Oberfläche - üblicher Modus für Arbeitsplatzrechner)
6: Neustart (Beendet alle Dienste und startet den Computer neu

Es gibt nun mehrere Möglichkeiten die Programme die Startzuordnungen von Programmen in den einzelnen Runleveln zu ändern, unter fedora bietet sich das Programm chkconfig an:

Es gibt auch sicher Doku die auf fedora bezogen ist, die genannte sollte aber auch ausreichen...
