Hallo erstmal! :)

Ich habe vor kurzem einen LCD-TV gekauft, einen Technisat HD-Vision 32, der über einen VGA-Eingang verfügt. Nun möchte ich ihn an meinen PC anschließen zusätzlich zu meinem 19" CRT-Monitor. Als Grafikkarte habe ich eine GeForce FX 5200 mit VGA-, DVI- und S-Video-Ausgang. Monitor hängt am VGA-Ausgang und der LCD-TV mit DVI-VGA-Adapter am DVI-Ausgang.

Dank dieser Anleitung (http://www.schwerdaeus.de/tv-out.html) habe ich es geschafft, dass ich 2 unabhängige Screens habe. Monitor läuft mit 1280x1024, nur der LCD-TV läuft nicht mit 1360x768, sondern maximal nur mit 1024x768.

Wie man sehen kann, habe ich es auch schon mit einer ModeLine versucht, die ich hier (http://xtiming.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/xtiming.pl) berechnen habe lassen. Die genauen Wert laut Handbuch des LCD-TV hab ich als Bild angehängt (handbuch.jpg).

Ich habe mittlerweile bei den Werten rumgespielt bis zum Abwinken und ich hab einfach keine Idee mehr, was ich machen könnte?!
Die Log des X-Servers hänge ich auch mal mit an (Xorg.0.log.txt). Da sticht mir vor allem der folgene Teil ins Auge, als ich die Log mal überflogen habe:

Ich versteh nicht genau, was das zu bedeuten hat, kennt der X-Server diese Auslösung nicht oder wie?!


Ich glaube, das waren dann mal alle Infos, die ich so hab, ich hoffe, mir kann jemand helfen oder ein ein paar Tipps. Ich würde nämlich schon gerne in voller Auflösung des LCD-TV Filme darauf abspielen und das geht bisher nur uner Windows "tadellos", jedoch möchte ich kein Windows benutzen! ;)

Zuletzt noch ein paar System-Infos:
Ubuntu Linux 5.10 (Kernel: 2.6.12-10-386)
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ mit 768 MB RAM

X kennt keinen "1360x768" Modus (es handelt sich nicht um einen Standardmodus) und Du hast keine passende Modeline angegeben; in der oben angebebenen Konfigurationsdatei findet sich zwar ein "1360x765@50" Modus, dieser hat aber einen anderen Namen ist darüber hinaus auskommentiert.

Ich weiß, dass die ModeLine auskommentiert ist, es war einmal ein Versuch es damit zu machen, aber das ging nicht und deswegen habe ich es wieder auskommentiert!

Wenn die 1360x768-Auslösung kein Standardauslösung ist, heißt das dann, dass ich es nur mit einer ModeLine realisieren kann!?

Ja, Du benötigst eine Modeline für diesen Modus; der Name dieser Modeline muß dann in der zugehörigen "Display" Sektion eingetragen werden (d.h. z.B. "1360x765@50" im Falle der obigen Modeline).

Aber funktionieren tut es immer noch nicht. :(
Ich hab meine Daten nochmal in den ModeLine-Rechner eingegeben und kontrolliert, aber es funktioniert immer noch nicht. Irgendeine Einstellung wird wohl noch falsch sein, aber ich weiß nicht welche oder was ich noch ändern sollte/müsste/könnte.

Ja, das hab ich auch gesehen, nur ein Bild bekomm ich am LCD-TV nicht. Ich bekomm nur ein schwarzes Bild und es steht halt dran "Kein Signal", das kommt halt auch, wenn ne Auflösung anliegt, die der LCD-TV nicht unterstützt.

Die Werte aus der folgenden Zeile stimmen ja nicht exakt mit denen aus dem Handbuch überin, vielleicht liegt es auch daran!??

Diese Meldung kommt immer, auch wenn der LCD-TV mit 1024x768 geht.

Ich weiß nicht, vielleicht bedeutet "NVIDIA(0)", dass es "Screen 0" ist und "NVIDIA(1)" dementsprechen "Screen 1" ist. Ist meine Vermutung, da ich ja auch 2 Screens definiert habe.

Sieht so aus, als wenn die angeschlossenen Anzeigegeräte nicht korrekt erkannt werden; wie hast Du den Monitor und den Fernseher angeschlossen, über SUBD und DVI oder SUBD/SUBD?

An sich bekomm ich ja ein Bild auf dem LCD-TV, aber eben nur bei 1024x768 und nicht bei 1360x768.

OK, dann habe ich Dich mißverstanden; kannst Du den Monitor direkt an den DVI-Eingang Deiner Grafikkarte anschließen? Möglicherweise funktioniert es dann besser (ggf. hilft dann auch noch die "ExactModeTimingsDVI" X-Konfigurationsoption).

Nee, der Monitor hat nur nen VGA-Anschluss und mein LCD-TV auch nur nen VGA-Anschluss. Daher gehts nicht anders.

Zwischenzeitlich habe ich auch noch den LCD-TV mal direkt an den VGA-Anschluss angeschlossen und den Monitor ganz weg und er macht wie sonst auch die 1024x768-Auslösung mit, aber eben die 1360x768-Auslösung nicht.
Es muss an irgendwelchen Einstellungen liegen oder an der Modeline und den Parametern, aber ich kenn mich da einfach zu wenig aus. :/

Irgendjemand noch irgendeine Idee!?

Ein ähnliches Problem hatte ich letztens auch. Habe den BenQ 3750 und da ist im EDID nur die 1280x1024@60Hz auflösung gespeichert.
Also Modline habe ich genommen:
ModeLine "1360x768" 85.478 1360 1424 1536 1792 768 771 777 795 +hsync
Wichtig ist bei mir auch dass ich in der Device Section:
Option "Ignore EDID" "1"
angebe, sonst startet der mit 1280x1024.
Habe dabei aber selber ein Problem dass der Mauspfeil vertikal asynchron zum eigentlichen "Mauspunkt" ist. Oben stimmts, aber wenn die Maus ganz unten ist, ist der Pfeil erst genau in der Mitte das Bildes. Ha jemand einen Rat?
Bei 1280x1024 gehts. Habe eine Geforce3 und die neuesten NVidia Treiber.

Also Option "IgnoreEDID" "true" hab ich schon drinnen und deine Zeile kann ich leider nicht nehmen, da ich DotClock von eigentlich 69MHz habe und deine hat ja 85MHz.

Ich hab nochmal welche ausgerechnet und hab folgende probiert, aber alle ohne Erfolg:

Die unteren 2 sind bis auf die DotClock identisch mit den oberen 2, hab einfach mal wild rumgetestet!
Ich probier jetzt schon seit Tagen daran rum und schaffe es einfach ums Verrecken nicht. Hat noch jemand eine Idee?! Kann jemand vielleicht eine Modeline rechnen mit meinen Angaben aus dem Handbuch (Anhang), vielleicht bin ich auch einfach nur zu blöd!?!

An dem +hsync was bei meiner Modline hinten drann steht kann es auch nicht liegen, oder?
Meine Modline ist auch für 60Hz, Deine dann sicher für 50Hz ausgelegt.
Hast Du schon mal mit PowerStrip unter Windows probiert gehabt, oder ist da gar kein Windows drauf?

Freut mich, daß es mit der ModeLine funktioniert; sie setzt sich zusammen aus:

Die beiden 4-er Tupel berechnen sich wie folgt aus den Angaben des Herstellers (einmal für die Horizontale, einmal für die Vertikale):


hdisp/vdisp = Aktive Punkte
hsyncstart/vsyncstart = hdisp/vdisp + Frontporch
hsyncend/vsyncend = hsyncstart/vsyncstart + Syncbreite
htotal/vtotal = Punkte Brutto (oder hsyncend/vsyncend + Backporch)
