Hallo, hab mir gestern Abend nach diesem wunderbaren How To im Forum (respekt) mein Kernel gebaut, soweit so gut (oder etwa nicht?). Hab mit " make clean && make bzImage && make modules && make modules_install" compiled, das bzImage sowie die System.map & die config nach /boot kopiert.
Beim Booten krieg ich dann folgenden Fehler:
VFS: Cannot open root device "LABEL=LINUX" or unknown block (0,0).
Please append a correct "root=" boot option.
Kernel panic - not syncing, VFS: unable to mount root FS on unknown block (0,0)
Mir is schon klar was das heißt, allerdings weiß ich nicht was ich anstattdessen als root= nehmen soll, beim anderen Kernel gehts doch auch...Hab auch schon root=/dev/hda2 versucht, das ist meine linux partition, nimmter auch nicht.
hier dann mal meine grub.conf:
#boot=/dev/hda
default=1
timeout=10
splashimage=(hd0,1)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
hiddenmenu
password --md5 $....
title Fedora Core (2.6.14-1.1653_FC4smp)
lock
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.14-1.1653_FC4smp ro root=LABEL=LINUX rhgb quiet
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.14-1.1653_FC4smp.img
title 2.6.14.3
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/linux-2.6.14.3 root=LABEL=LINUX
Naja, bin für jede Hilfe dankbar.
Hab da übrigens noch ne wichtige Frage...kann ich nicht einfach meinen vorhandenen Kernel so umbauen das loop-aes und so draußen is? Dann muss ich mich nicht mit der restlichen config rumärgern, da ich das Gefühl hab das erstmal die Hälfte nicht so läuft wie es soll :( Nutze FC4..
MfG
chris
p.s ide treiber etc. sind alle drin.
