Eine neue Version des Windows "Emulators" Wine (http://www.winehq.org) ist erschienen: 20050930 (http://www.winehq.org/?announce=1.103)

Neben zahlreichen Bugfixes wurden auch neue Features eingebaut: Joystick Feedback Unterstützung, Win64 Unterstützung, Verbesserung des MSI (Microsoft Installer) und vieles mehr. Außerdem ist es als eine Vorversion für die Version 0.9 von Wine (http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2005-September/040484.html) zu sehen.

Die aktuelle Version für die verschiedenen Distributionen gibt es wie immer im Download-Bereich von Winehq.org (http://www.winehq.org/site/download).

An emulator, in the most general sense, duplicates (provides an emulation of) the functions of one system with a different system, so that the second system appears to behave like the first system. Unlike a simulation, it does not attempt to precisely model the state of the device being emulated; it only attempts to reproduce its behavior.

Most emulators just emulate a hardware architecture — if a specific operating system is required for the desired software, it must be provided as well (and may itself be emulated). Both the OS and the software will then be interpreted by the emulator, rather than being run by native hardware. Kann man dieses geniale Tool hier nicht irgendwie einbauen? *scnr*Koennte man schon. Damit haette das Ganze auch weniger DDoS-Charakter... Wenn Du Dich freiwillig meldest, arbeite ich gerne mit Dir zusammen - mit mod_perl kenne ich mich leider noch nicht aus.
