Hallo,

Ich hab ein Debian Sarge mit installiertem Samba.

Ich nutze ein paar Sachen wie:

obey pam restrictions = yes
encrypt passwords = true
passdb backend = smbpasswd:/etc/samba/smbpasswd

Nun, ich hab jetzt 3 User nennen wir sie alice, bob und john.

john wurde beim installieren des Systems eingerichtet, alice und bob später.

alle drei sind also in der /etc/passwd hinterlegt.
ebenso sind sie in der smbpasswd mit dem selben password hinterlegt.

Nun bekomme ich folgenden Fehler:

john kann sich gegenüber dem sambaserver authentifizieren und bekommt sein homedirectory angezeigt (als Order john).
Bei alice und bob funktioniert es NICHT! keine authentifzierung möglich. (Passwort wird zurückgewiesen).

Und was noch dazu kommt: john kann auf die homedirectorys von alice und bob zugreifen, wenn er sie explizit angibt, bekommt sie aber nicht präsentiert.

Hallo,

das Problem kommt mir bekannt vor. Die neuen Benutzer müssen erst zu Samba-Benutzern konvertiert werden. Entweder machst Du das mit irgendwelchen Tools wie webmin oder versuchst mal, ihnen den neuen ein Passwort mit smbpasswd -a <user> zu vergeben.
-a bedeutet "add". Das hat jedenfalls bei mir geholfen.

damit meinte ich das ich sie mit smbpasswd hinzugefügt habe. Also ich hab das gemacht, geht trotzdem nicht.

log level erhöhen, dann siehst du, warum sie abgewiesen werden

bzgl. home-dirs
mach mal valid users = %s

siehe dazu auch die hinweise in der manual

muss ein großes S sein übrigens, also %S.

Der Grund ist nicht der Samba, sondern wenn ich mich einmal per Windows am EPIA mit einem bestimmten Benutzernamen angemeldet habe, kann ich das nicht mehr ändern, bis ich den WIndows XP Rechner neu starte. Oder doch? Wenn ja, wie?

wenn du als nutzer xxx angemeldet bist und als dieser auch shares gemapt hast, kannst du keine weiteren shares als nutzer xzy mappen...ist "by design (windows)"

was du machen kannst: eine cmd mit runas starten und dann net use nutzen
sollte klappen
