...mit SuSE 9.3 und einem LCD Monitor. Erst ein späteres strg-alt-f1 und alt-f7 hilft.

und der nvidia Treiber läßt sich nicht installieren

Dein nvidia-Treiber ist zu neu. Installier einen älteren oder benutz den Treiber "nv" statt "nvidia" in der xserver conf!
