Hi

immer wenn ich unter meinem Suse 9.3 XINETD starten will
mit "rcxinetd start" startet xinetd nicht sonder nur mit "failed"!

kann mir jemand sagen wo ich nachschauen kann was los ist bzw was muss ich tun?

Schaue mal ins Syslog, ob dort Meldungen darüber zu finden sind. Ansonsten poste bitte die Konfigurationsdateien von xinetd.

Ändere also den Port von 902 auf 904 in der Datei /etc/xinetd.d/vmware-authd und starte xinetd neu.

so danke XINETD läuft wieder!!!
nur hab ich jetz folgendes problem

wenn ich für meinen VMWARE GSX "vmware-authd" starten möchte bekomm ich


599 vmware-authd PANIC: getpeername failed: Socket operation on non-socket


als fehler!

hab schon einen eintrag in der /etc/hosts gemacht hilft aber nichts!

weiß jemand was?
