Bootsplash über TV-Out?

Hallo,

ich hab mir einen HTPC zusammengeschustert.
Ist nen P4 1,5 mit einer GeForce 2 MX (mit SVHS Out). Darauf läuft Suse 9.1 mit Standartkernel, d.h. eigentlich wird bootsplash also unterstützt.
Wenn ich einen Monitor anschließse, funktioniert das auch, schließe ich jedoch nur den Fernseher an, läuft der Bootvorgang nur mit Textkonsole ab.
Ich habe es mittels vga=789 in der menu.lst von grub zwar hinbekommen, dass die Auflösung wenigstens schon mal auf 800x600 ungeschaltet wird, jedoch nicht, das der blaue Bootscreen erscheint (auch nicht mir splash=silent).
Eigentlich fänd ich das ja nicht so tragisch, aber da das eben ein Wohnzimmerpc ist, der Bootvorgang ziemlich lange dauert und ich das
Bootscreen Bild auch noch anpassen wollte, stört mich das halt schon einen bischen.

Also weiß jemand Rat, was man da jetzt machen kann oder wonach ich suchen muss (bis jetzt nichts gescheites gefunden)?

hab leider keine Lösung für dein Problem, aber dafür eine Frage:
Ich hoffe das ist O.K. ...

Hab auch nen kleinen WohnzimmerPC.
Ebenfalls mit eine GeForce 2 MX 200 - Composite-Out
Mein Problem ist, dass ich lediglich eine Auflösung von 640x480 bekomme.
(Hab das in der Menu.lst noch nicht getestet.)
Wenn ich meinen X-Server starte, geht einfach nicht mehr als 640x480.
Welche Auflösung hattest du am TV, als dein Boot noch 640x480 war und X gestartet ??
Meine Änderungen in der XFconfig haben nichts gebracht, stellte automatisch auf die kleine Auflösung um.

Könntest du mir vielleicht mal deine XFconfig mal ausgeben ??

Bastle jetzt schon ne Weile an dem Problem und komm da einfach nicht weiter.

P.S. Hab auch SuSE drauf (9.0-Prof) hab im Bootprozess so einiges rausgeschmissen.
Booten geht jetzt ratz-fatz ... war so einiges dabei, was ich nicht brauchte

Also ich hab bei mir eigentlich immer 800x600 eingestellt im X server. Hab beim booten jetzt wieder aus 640x480 bzw. vga=normal eingestellt, da sonst die konsole nach dem x start nicht mehr lesbar ist.
Hab bei mir auch alle unwichtigen Dienste raus, allerdings scheint die FP nen schlag weg zu haben, denn der DMA funzt net mehr und darum is der sehr langsam. Hab mich schon nach initng umgeguckt, das funzte aber nich unter Suse, zumindest nicht ohne große Eingriffe zu machen. Teste jetzt noch runit. So braucht er vom Start des PC bis der X server inkl. Mythtv geladen sind geschlagene 2 Min. Evtl. kann ich das auch noch per suspend machen.

Ach was mir grad noch eingefallen ist.
Also wie du siehst hab ich das ja mit Twinview gemacht um zus. nen Monitor anzuschließen. Das Problem is jedoch, das dann keine OpenGl Sachen (snes und Musikvisualisierung) auf Vollbild laufen, deshlab werd ich das warsch. noch rausnehmen.
