Hi,

ich habe hier eine APC Smart UPS600 über eine 9pol. RS232 Verbindung an einem Standard PC hängen. Das Kabel ist eines von APC selber (Typ 940-0024B). Die COM1-Schnittstelle liegt auf 3F8H mit dem IRQ4 (nix besonderes).

Weil die APC-Software einen Exclusivzugriff haben will, habe ich unter /etc/inittab die seriellen Ports so bearbeitet,

Als Software habe ich unter SuSe6.4 die APC Software von "http://www.apcc.com/tools/download/sw_kit.cfm?sku=sdw31" genauer "pc452_libc.tar" benutzt.

Beim Verbindungscheck kommt kurz vor Abschluss der Installation immer:

WARNING: Could not communicate with device on /dev/ttyS0.
Check that the communications cable is attached properly to both the device and the serial port.


Weiss jemand warum die Verbindung nicht klappt?
