Hi,

Wenn ich hostap starten will, kommt diese Meldung:

An was könnte das liegen??
Ich bastle jetzt schon ewig an dem blöden ding!

Ich habe SuSE 9.2 Installiert.
Die Hostap-Treiber waren schon installiert.
WLan-Karte: D-Link DWL-122 (prism2-chipsatz)
Ich betreibe die Karte bereits im Ad-Hoc modus, will sie allerdings im Access-Point-Modus benutzen.

hallo,
ich habe ebenfalls den G-Link DWL-122 im Betrieb.
Allerdings mit Suse 9.1. Die Installation hat mich echt Nerven gekostet.
Lässt sich über YAST , Netzwerkkarte mit Prism2_USB konfigurieren.
Der Zugang läuft über einen Router (Fritz!Box) im "Managed_Modus" mit DHCP.
Rechnername:host
Nameserver: die IP-Adresse vom Router
Routing: Standartgateway, Adresse vom Router
IP-Weiterleitung aktivieren
Kennung für DHCP-Client: MAC-Adresse des Routers
außerdem habe ich einen festen Kanal und Frequenz eingegeben
Netzwerkname und Schlüssel müssen natürlich mit dem Router übereinstimmen! Starten solltest du den Stick beim Systemstart.
Die Verbindung klappt bei mir jetzt tadellos, allerdings startet der "KDE"
seitdem extrem langsam!! Das habe ich noch nicht beheben können.
Versuch mal diese Einstellung,

Hi!

Also das Problem ist eigentlich, dass sich hostapd nicht starten lässt. Die Karte selber funktioniert im Ad-Hoc-Modus schon.
Nur dieses blöde hostapd will nicht!
