Hi zusammen,
ich habe vor zwei Wochen einen SuSE 8.0 Webserver in einen SuSE 9.2 Webserver umgebaut. Wie sich in der Testphase aber nicht gezeigt hat wird nun auf dem live System scheinbar mehr Speicher für PHP Prozesse genutzt wie zuvor auf dem alten System. Die Anwendungen sind natürlich samt Konfigurationen 1 zu 1 übernommen worden.
Aber da sich nun der Apache2 und MySQL 4 dort befindet, sowie eine neue GD Version vermute ich das es unter umständen daran liegen könnte. Die PHP Version selbst ist identisch mit der auf dem alten Server.
Kann sich jemand dies erklären, liegt das an mir oder ist das tatsächlich normal. Schlimm ist das nun reinenweise die Memorylimits auf den VirutalHost hochgescaltet werden müssen damit die Anwendungne laufen...

Aber am System selber kann es ja nicht liegen, es ist im PHP Beispielsweise ein Memory limit in der php.ini bzw. dem VirualHost angegeben, das vorher gereicht hat und nun dazu führt das es einen Fehler von php gibt, der sagt das zu viel Speicher genutzt wird für diesen Prozess. Oder sehe ich das falsch?

weiß hier nun keiner mehr weiter? Oder sind die Angaben die ich gemacht habe alle in Ordnung?
Apache/PHP und MySQL sehen in Ordnung aus hinsichtlich des Speicherverbrauchs.
Jedoch ist ein Prozess vorhanden, der sehr viel Speicher verbraucht und den Server zum Auslagern zwingt. Das Swapfile ist mit über 230 MByte in Benutzung.

Hat auch nichts damit zu tun. Aber die Bandsicherungssoftware verbraucht 1,4 GByte Arbeitsspeicher. Das würde ich überprüfen. Entweder die Software rennt Amok oder hat ein oder mehrere Memory-Leaks. Dadurch swappt dein Server 230 MByte, was die Leistung deutlich verringert.

Der Standardwert ist 8 MByte. Erhöhe es auf 16 oder mehr:

Genau das ist ja das Problem, wenn du mal oben ließt. Ich habe die selben Einstellungen, sogar das selbe PHP genommen, und der Server beinhaltet auch die selben Packete, nur eben eine SuSE Verion höher was auch einen Apache2 bedeutet.
Auf dem alten Server war also die /etc/php.ini und auch die virtualhosts Einstellungen für php identisch. Beim alten Server ging alles und nun kommt ein Memory warnung.... das kann doch nicht, oder?
Und wegen der Bandsoftware, wie das so viel sein konnte weiß ich gerade auch nicht, aber der Server läuft seit dem nach einem Neustart aus anderen Gründen wieder. Und nun sind das "nur" 200 MB.
An dem eigentlichen "php/apache" Problem hat das aber nix geändert.
