checkinstall ist ein Programm, das hilft, aus Quellcode Binaerpakete (rpm, deb, Slackware) zu machen.
Die neue beta laeuft auch auf Fedora Core 3 ohne Probleme. Ist zwar schon seit 1. Dezember draussen, aber hier laut Forensuche noch nicht erwaehnt worden.
checkinstall-1.6.0beta4 has been released with many bugfixes, including the nasty segfault when running on newer glibc versions!
