Ich habe eine neue installation wegen Hardwareupdate von Suse linux 8.2 gemacht. Ich meine alles so installiert zu haben wie beim alten server. Nun bekomme ich wenn ich meine mails von meinem win xp rechner mit outlook runterladen will eine Fehlermeldung: -ERR UNKNOWN ATHORIZATION STATE COMMAND. Irgend etwas fehlt bei meine installation... aber was?
Sag uns bitte, welcher Serverdienst das ist, wie die Konfigurationsdatei dafür aussieht und ob etwas interessantes in den entsprechenden Logfiles steht.
Ups... Also es is postfix. In den Logfiles ist nix zu sehen, was auf den fehler deuten könnte.

Nabend,
postfix ist ein MTA und kein pop3 oder imap Server,
der Fehler beim runterladen in Outlook kann also nicht von postfix kommen.

Aus Ermangelung eines installierten Suse kann ich den Wahrheitsgehalt leider nicht ueberpruefen.

P.S: Das ist jetzt doof, ich weiss, aber Google ist die einzige mir bekannte Suchmaschine, die sich wunderbar dazu eignet solche Fehlermeldungen wie Du sie gepostet hast als Suchbegriff so zu verarbeiten, dass man (Oh Wunder!) sofort eine Loesung erhaelt.

Das problem ist, dass die standard pop und imap server ab suse 8.2 nur noch mit ssl arbeiten. Abhilfe dazu ist entweder ssl konfigurieren, oder einfach mit qpopper zu arbeiten. Da ich zu faul bin ssl zu konfigurieren und eigentlich nicht nötig habe da der server nur im lokalen Netz arbeitet. Den Tipp habe ich bei http://www.b.shuttle.de/b/humboldt-os/kokavecz/macken.html gefunden.
