Hallo zusammen,
ich hoffe ich bin hier im richtigen Bereich.
Wenn ich auf meinem Linux Rechner (Suse 9.1 Prof) mit dem Befehl vncserver :0 den VNC Server starte, dann kann ich auch von meinem Windows rechner aus drauf zeugreifen, sehe aber leider nur einen grauen hintergrund und die Konsole.
Ich hätte aber gerne die Konsole, des angemeldeten Users (thomas)
Für Konsolen zugriff benutze ich Putty, da brauche ich ja kein VNC für.
Wäre nett wenn mir jemand helfen kann.
Habe aber leider sehr wenig Ahnung von Linux

wenn Du nur die Konsole haben willst warum verwendest Du dann VNC, mit Putty sollte das doch perfekt klappen wie Du auch bereits geschrieben hast

habe ich mich wohl etwas missverständlich ausgedrückt!
Ich will per VNC ja meinen Desktop sehen und nicht die Konsole, wenn ich die Konsole haben wollte, dann würde ich weiterhin Putty verwenden.
Ich will aber halt die KDE sehen per VNC!

twm & --> startkde &
hab grad dasselbe..
xstartup ausgeführt, dann kommt folgendes:
twm: another window manager is already running on screen 0?
twm: unable to find any unmanaged screens
dann geht noch eine shell auf und das wars dann.. nix mit verbindung vom anderen rechner...
nicht die xstartup ausführen sondern editieren!
Danach den vncserver normal starten...

Muss ich dann da nur diesesn Eintrag "twm & --> startkde &" hinzufügen oder was muss ich dort genau machen?

in dem homeverzeichnis des jeweiligen users (zb benutzer myst -> /home/myst/.vnc/)
da ist die datei.
da steht in der datei drin in der letzten zeile
twm &
und das ändern zu startkde &

hmm....
habe die änderungen in der xstartup vergenommen, jedoch kann ich immer noch nicht meinen KDE Desktop sehen.
WEnn ich mich mit dem VNC Viewer von REAL VNC connecte kommt gar nix, keine Fehlermeldung keine Password abfrage, einfach nix.
Wenn ich den Viewer von Tight VNC nutze kommt ne Passwort abfrage und ich sehe aber wieder nur einen grauen Bildschirm, noch nicht mal mit einer Konsole.
Muss ich vielleicht sonst noch irgendwelche einstellungen vornehmen bzw. ändern?

realvnc gibts in 2 versionen bzw 2 protokolle: 3.3 und 4.xx
bei mir ist vnc 3.3 auf dem linuxrechner, 4 auf xp. bei der 4 muss ich dann in den einstelluneg auf 3.3 only schalten, damits funktioniert.
kanns daran liegen?

danke jetzt komme ich auch mit dem REAL VNC Viewer drauf, aber ich habe immer noch nur einen Grauen Bildschrim ohne meine KDE?

wenn du auf den desktop (ja eigentlich ist da garnix, aber du weißt was ich mein) klickst, kommt da so ein kurzes menü? sowas in der art twm ?
das ist dann nämlich twm ;)
musst du mal überprüfen, ob die xstartup in ~/.vnc/ wirklich stimmt..

Auf dem "Desktop" den ich angezeigt bekomme über VNC kann ich klicken wie ich will, ich bekomme kein Menü, weder rechte noch linke Maustaste bringen etwas zum vorschein!
Hoffe das ihr mir dabei helfen könnt, denn viele sachen kann ich bzw, gehen glaub ich gar nicht über putty!

ich würde behaupten, kde ladet nich vollständig..
evt kannst mal die log posten; ist in ~/.vnc/
ich bezweifle zwar dass ich dir dann weiterhelfen kann (selber noch zu lernen) aber ein anderer wirds sicher können :)

Ich hoffe das irgendjemand damit etwas anfangen kann, so das das Problem endlich gelösst wird.

was ich besonders interessant finde ist das in den letzten paar zeilen:

ich hab einmal bei mir probiert, bei laufender vnc-sitzung (wo kde 1x gestartet ist) nochmal am pc selber mich anzumelden und damit kde zu starten..ich kann nun leider nicht sagen, ob es ein ressourcenrpoblem ist bei mir (450mhz amd, 196mb sd-ram) oder ob es einfach unmöglich ist, kde 2x oder mehr zu starten
wenn du bereits angemeldet bist -> abmelden, neuer verbindungsversuch :)

das Prob ist, das ich ungefähr 170 KM von dem rechner entfernt bin :D
Wenn du mir jetzt sagen kannst, wie ich mich per Konsole abmelden kann, dann werde ich das mal versuchen.
PS: Also ich denke es sollte nicht an meinem Rechner liegen auch wenn der nicht als 2000+ läuft sondern nur mit 1 GHz

ähm...*hust* hast du programme offen in der kde?
*hust hust* mit befehl "init 6" startest du den pc neu, dabei ginge alles ungespeicherte in der kde sicherlich verloren und der feine weg ists auch nich grade ;)
wie man kde von der konsole beenden könnte, hab ich leider nix gefunden..
bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass es hier ein anderer weiß :(
- oder -
du beendest kde mit "killall kdeinit" was halt wieder zu datenverlust fürhen könnte.
