Hi Leute,

meine ftp Server lässt locale Benutzer zu. Das geht auch einwandfrei.
Nun will ichn einen virtuellen hinzufügen, der sich NICHT auf den System ein loggen können soll.

User erstellt mit
useradd -d /home/ftpuser1 -g ftpuser -s /sbin/nologin -p passwd fsvz04

vsftp sagt immer: Sat Dec 11 14:59:50 2004 [pid 4182] [fsvz04] FAIL LOGIN: Client "xxxxxxxxxxxx"

jetzt versteh ich das nicht so ganz, habe keine Option gefunden um den vsftpd gesprächiger zu machen. muß ich /home/ftpuser1 erstellen?
die gruppe ftpuser hab ich erstellt.

auch per ftp localhost kann ich mich nicht als fsvz04 einloggen.
irgendwie hab ich ein verständnis problem mit diesem virtuellem benutzer.
ich möchte nur einen ftp service anbieten ohne einen localen benutzer anzulegen und ohne anonymenzugang zu gewären.

jemannd noch ein tipps für mich?

Also wenn der User /home/ftpuser1 als Homedir hat, sollte das Verzeichnis natürlich auch existieren. Standardmässig lässt vsftpd keinen Login zu, wenn der Benutzer keine gültige Shell hat. Dazu die Manpage lesen:

check_shell
Note! This option only has an effect for non-PAM builds of vsftpd. If disabled, vsftpd will not check /etc/shells for a valid user shell for local logins.

Default: YES

Hi,

danke erstmal für die Antwort.
Habe jetzt check_shell=NO gesetzt und das Verzeichniss erstellt.
Ändert aber nix, der Login wird nicht zugelassen. Selbe Fehlermeldung.

Zufällig noch ne Idee?
