apt-get und yum finden die Repositories nicht.

Hi Freax,
ich hab hier sowohl yum als auch apt-get auf der Kiste (FC3T3) aber beide finden keine Repositories. Ich sitze in der Firma hinter einer Firewall usw. usf. Internet (surfen) geht, ich kann Hosts im Internet pingen (am gateway liegts also m.E. auch nicht) aber die beiden Programme finden ihre Repositories nicht.
Kann das an der Firewall liegen? Welche Ports brauchen die Programme?

Ich schließe mich der Frage an. Nach einer "Installation" nach Stanton Finley (http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_core_3_installation_notes.html), komme ich bis zum Punkt von "yum update". Daraufhin kommt aber nur ein lapidares:

Ein bisschen Googlen ergab nur einen Post auf einem französischen Fedora Forum, die Lösung dort (weitere Zugaben in der /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo) hat nichts gebracht.

Whoops, ein paar Seiten mehr in der Suche angeguckt und schon hat man die Antwort (wenn sie auch einwenig komisch ist).
/etc/yum.conf von hier (http://fedorafaq.libria.net/#installsoftware) reinpacken und schon läuft es. Komisch das Stanton das noch nicht so auf seiner Seite hat....

Bei mir musste ich einfach nur den Proxy per Bash-Variable einstellen:

> export http_proxy=http://proxyname:portnummer
