Hi

Mein Suse Bootscreen hängt 5-10 Minuten !!!
Ich kann nochnichtmal F2 drücken, um die Details anzusehen, aber dann nach so 5-10 Minten, fängt er an zu laden, dann kann ich auch F2 drücken
Ich hab in diesem Forum schon gelesen, dass man dem Computer eine Feste ip im Netzewerk zuteilen soll, dass hab ich gemacht, hat aber nix gebracht!!

Hallo,

wenn der Bootmanager zu sehen ist, dann gib mal splash=verbose ein. Damit bekommst Du alle Ausgaben, ohne vorher F2 drücken zu müssen und wir können dann schon mal sehen, woran es beim Booten hängt.

Wie, wenn der Bootmanager zu sehen ist?? Beim Starten oder wo?? da kommt nur dieser Bootscreen, der Grüne, ich kann da nix eingeben, wenn ich F2 drücken könnte, dann ja, aber...

Vor dem Laden des Kernels kommt ja so ein Bootmanager (GRUB) dort suchst du dir deinen SuSE eintrag aus, drückst e und dann mit dem Pfad wo der kernel ist steht irgendwo kernel(hd0,0)..... splash=.... da drückst du wiederrum e und bei splash gibst du einfach statt silent (glaub ich) verbose ein.

=> das ist die anleitung wie ich den Grub konfigurieren würde und wie es auch bei mir funktioniert.

Wenn Dein Rechner hochgefahren ist melde dich in einer shell/konsole als root/su an und editiere die Datei /boot/grub/menu.lst.
Dort ist der Eintrag von dem Tranalogic schon gesprochen hat (splash=silent). Änder einfach silent in verbose dann siehst Du den Bootscreen nicht mehr sondern alle Meldungen.

Guck Dir die Logs Deines Rechners an, vielleicht findest Du dort etwas, eventuell hilft es auch wenn Du ACPI abschaltest.

hab ich gemacht, ich hab da als root "verbose" reingeschrieben ( an die richtige stelle)

Aber irgendwie kommt da immernoch der Bootscreen!!!
was solll dass??
Ich bin GANZ sicher dass ich alles richtig gemacht habe.

Sieht bei mir ähnlich aus die grub.conf.
Schau mal in /var/log/boot.msg ob dort irgendwas ungwöhnliches steht.

Ich tippe mal auf Deinen nforce chipsatz/IDE Probleme.
Hier im Forum gibt es einiges dazu und ich meine zu glauben das einige User das gleiche Problem haben.

Vielleicht hilft ja auch schon ein Kernelupdate mit Yast? 2.6.4-52 ist soweit ich mich erinnere der Installationskernel der ziemlich viel Probleme gemacht hat.

Updates kannst Du Dir mit der Onlineupdatefunktion von Yast herunterladen.

Aber versuch doch erstmal hier im Forum nach nforce Problemen zu suchen.

Wenn Du hier nach nforce gesucht hättest, hättest Du zumindest schon auf der ersten Seite gesehen das es spezielle Treiber von nvidia gibt.
Versuch die mal ;)

Um Updates einzuspielen Yast starten und Onlineupdate auswählen.

Ja, dass weiss ich auch aber wenn ich bei yast auf Suchen gehe (bei dem Onlineupdate) , findet der nix wenn ich "nforce" oder "2.6.4-52" eingebe

Also wo kann ich dass runterladen??

Kann mir jemand sagen, woher ich den bootsplash-kernelpatch für den kernel-2.6.8.1 herkriege? Habs über http://www.bootsplash.de versucht, aber ich komme schlichtweg nicht auf diese Seite! (Connection refused!).
