Hallo,

ich hab da ein kleines Problem mit meiner Cupsanmeldung als root!
Der will mein Passwort nicht???

Woran soll das liegen???

Die sollte doch bestimmt unter etc/cups stehen oder? *maldummnachfrag*

Aber egal, ich hab versucht root zusätzlich noch hinzuzufügen, aber jedesmal erhalte ich die Meldung:

Your password must be at least 6 characters long, cannot contain your username, and must contain at least one letter and number.

selbst mit dieser aufforderung gehts net!

möchtest du dich local (http://localhost:631) oder remote (http://ip-adresse:631) anmelden ?

denn standartmäßig ist der remote zugriff gesperrt

cups benutzt für das webinterface keine systempasswörter sondern eigene

man lppasswd

da steht ......

lppasswd [ -a ] [ -g groupname ] [ -x ] [ username ]

probier mal:

lppasswd -a root
Enter password: <meinpasswort>
Enter password again: <meinpasswort>

und schon kannst dich einloggen damit als root mit dem passwort meinpasswort
