Hallo,

habe mich die Tage mal durch das HOWTO von www.linux-nis.org durchgearbeitet. Habe mir vorgenommen den Server-Setup-Teil vor dem Client-Part zu lesen - irgendwie logisch nech.

Naja jedenfalls scheitert die Initialisierung von den Datenbanken mit ypinit. ypinit -m sagt Folgendes:

[root@xion ypserv-2.13]# /prog/nis/lib/yp/ypinit -m

At this point, we have to construct a list of the hosts which will run NIS
servers. xion is in the list of NIS server hosts. Please continue to add
the names for the other hosts, one per line. When you are done with the
list, type a <control D>.

Is ja unschwer zu erkennen, dass er bei /etc/netgroup die Flocke macht. Diese File gibts auf meinem System (Fedorac Core 1) auch gar nicht - was soll da drin stehen?
ist es dann safe, wenn ich den entsprechenden Part aus der Makefile die er hier nimmt (/var/yp/Makefile nehm ich mal an?) einfach auskommentiere?
