Ich bin mit meiner Gentoo Installation inzwischen so weit, dass ich grub installliert habe um das System selber zu booten. Wenn ich jetzt anfange zu booten, geht alles wunderbar, bis das System die Root Partition (/dev/hda3) botten will. Dabei gibts folgende Fehlermeldungen:
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
Mounted devfs on /dev
attempt to access beyond end of device
01:00: rw=0, want=4169, limit=4096
noch ein paar mehr solche Meldungen mit anderen Zahlen
VFS: Cannot open root device "hda3" or 03:03
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:03
grub.conf:
default 0
timeout 30
splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title=Gentoo Linux 2.4.25
root (hd0,0)
kernel (hd0,0)/kernel-2.4.25-gentoo-r2 root=/dev/hda3
initrd (hd0,0)/initrd-2.4.25-gentoo-r2
Was ist das Problem? Liegt es daran, dass ich eine SATA HD brauche? Sollte ich noch die Config der /etc/fstab posten?
