SciTE is a SCIntilla based Text Editor. Originally built to demonstrate Scintilla, it has grown to be a generally useful editor with facilities for building and running programs. It is best used for jobs with simple configurations - I use it for building test and demonstration programs as well as SciTE and Scintilla, themselves.
SciTE 1.60 is a major release with the Lua programming language now
included for scripting SciTE. Since the scripting feature will only now
receive widespread testing, the API provided may change as experience is
gained. Bruce Dodson performed most of the work in integrating Lua into
SciTE.
Support was added for the Kix, Specman E, AutoIt3, and APDL languages,
and Bash language support was improved greatly by using a new lexer separate
from the Perl lexer. Many minor features added and bugs fixed.
