Hallo Leute,
habe bei mir zu Hause einen SuSE 9.0 Server und darauf ProFTPD installiert. Klappt soweit auch ganz gut, nur hat das Ding Probleme mit Umlauten.
Dateinamen mit ä ü ö ß usw. werde gespeichert, werden dann aber durch komische Zeichen ersetzt. Muss ich da irgendwo den Zeichensatz ändern, wenn ja, wo?

in deiner /usr/local/etc/proftpd.conf sollte dieses hier stehen:
MultilineRFC2228 on
default ist off.
bei mir funktionieren umlaute.
falls es nicht funktioniert zeige mal deine config.
