3D-Unterstützung, fehler

Ich versuche verzweifelt die 3D-Unterstützung für meine ATI Radeon 9600XT unter Fedora Core 1 zu aktivieren, ich bin nach der Anleitung von www.gmpf.de vorgegangen. Sobald ich versuche die ATI Treiber zu installieren (rpm -Uhv --force fglrx-glc22-4.3.0-3.2.8.i586.rpm) und Linux versucht das Modul zu laden erscheinen Fehlermeldungen. Auch wenn ich versuche das Modul per Hand mit modprobe fglrx nachzuladen erscheint die Meldung, dem zur Folge kann ich die 3D-Unterstützung nicht aktivieren und Linux abeitet immer noch mit den Mesa Treibern. Ich habe das ganze auch schon mit kernel 2.6.5 versucht mit dem selben Ergebnis.

Hallo steffen!
Die bash sagt dir was zu tun ist:

-Gehe in /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/ und führe dort als root :

"./make.sh" aus

Dann per:

cd ../ ein Verzeichnis höher, also in /lib/modules/fglrx und ein

./make_install.sh installiert das modul.

Danach noch ein "fglrxconfig" -> Einstellungen vornehmen-> x-server starten-> fertig.

Eigentlich ganz stupides abgetippe, aber ich weiss wie man sich als Neuling in der bash fühlt ;-)

Sollten noch Probs auftauchen, frag einfach, oder schau mal über die Suchfunktion hier im Forum.

Hmmm, ehrlich gesagt: keine Ahnung.

So ne Meldung ist mir bis jetzt noch nicht unter gekommen. Aber wiegesagt: Im Forum hier gibt es ca. 1000 ( grob geschätzt :-) ) Threads zum Thema Ati und 3D Unterstützung.

Schau doch vielleicht mal bei Suse direkt vorbei und suche in deren Hilfedatenbank.

Ich hatte am Anfang unter suse auch probleme überhaupt x zu starten und musste als Vollnoob ohne x an der lilo.conf und XF86Config rumfrickeln bis überhaupt ein Bild kam.

Du siehst also, du bist schonmal weiter gekommen als ich damals-> Geduld haben, suchen und suchen und suchen und alles wird hinhauen.

Ok. mach mal ein Bildschirmfoto von den Ordnern /boot und /usr/src(am besten auf einem Bild gemeinsam nebeneinander) und poste das hier mal.

Am besten in ausführlicher Listenansicht. Ich steige da jetzt auch nicht mehr durch entweder stimmen die Links nicht oder die Quellen passen nicht zum laufenden Kernel.

ich werde aus den screenies nicht schlau. Sorry aber da muss dir jemand helfen der mehr von Suse versteht als ich. Bei mir sieht /boot ganz anders aus und bevor ich rumrate werfe ich besser das Handtuch.

Vom Gefühl her würde ich sagen, Bei dir läuft ein smp-kernel und die sourcen in /usr/src/ sind unpassend, da für Einzelprozessorsysteme. Letzte Idee die ich noch hätte wäre ein :

"uname -a" # Gibt den momentan laufenden kernel aus

und dann die exakt passenden kernelsourcen dazu installieren und die links in /boot und /usr/src auf diese anpassen.

also danke für deine hilfe, ich benutze auch nicht suse sondern fedora core 1^^ ich kapier nicht warum ein andere kernelsource installiert sein soll als ich gerade benutze... ich hab die kernelsourcen von der cd installiert, von da her kann ich doch nur den einen kernel benutzen, oder sehe ich das falsch??

Nicht ganz. Ich denke auf der cd sind mehrere Kernelsourcen, da es ja auch verschiedene Hardware gibt .

Wiegesagt: Über "uname -a" den laufenden Kernel ermitteln und dann von der cd die EXAKT passenden sourcen dazu installieren und die unpassenden über den Paketmanager entfernen. I

n /usr/src/ müssen die sourcen des laufenden Kernels liegen, dann klappts auch mit dem Kompilieren, wenn alle links stimmen.

Warum in /boot zwei kernel liegen weiss ich nicht, das ist meinem Kenntnisstand nach schlicht überflüssig.

Führe mal den Befehl von oben aus und poste die Ausgabe.

hi, da bin ich wieder, da es heist man soll viele distributionen probieren und sich dann entscheiden welche die beste ist habe ich mir mal mandrake 10 besorgt
ich habe wieder versucht die ati treiber zu installieren und bin diesmal weiter gekommen, das script make.sh kann ich auch fehlerfrei ausführen, danach versuche ich das make_install.sh doch dies bricht ab:

[root@localhost fglrx]# ./make_install.sh

so, ich bekomme nun das fglrx modul geladen (es war vmalloc_vmaddr fehler unter kernel 2.6.3) , jedoch verwendet er weiterhin den mesa treiber, anstatt den ati treiber

So Leute aufgepasst,
Ich hab jetzt Madrake 10 Official (bin voll zufrieden damit), habe mir kernel 2.6.5 kompiliert, isdn läuft, sound mit alsa und zu guter letzt auch 3d mit meiner ati, nach 2 Monaten, aber es geht^^ Ich rate jedem dran zu bleiben und nicht aufzugeben. Mittlerweile bin ich auch kein Neuling mehr^^

Mat74: Danke für deine Hilfe, aber du hattest unrecht, ich habe nicht alles benötigte gewusst, ich habe lange gegoogelt 2 kerneldateien und den treiber selbst gepatcht. Das nächste mal sei nicht zu voreilig. (ich habe das alles ohne x ausgeführt, init 3^^)

Hmmm, also lags an den Kernelquellen? Sorry, aber ich habe immer die Original-Kernelquellen von Kernel.org verwendet und NIE etwas patchen müssen, weder den Treiber noch den Kernel (bis heute nicht).

Freut mich zu hören dass es jetzt klappt bei dir! :)

Ich habe von diesem Forum eigentlich erwartet das mir ein paar mehr leute helfen als nur einer, der auch nicht helfen konnte. Ich bin aber froh das ich es alleine geschafft habe, habe eine Menge gelernt. Ich habe auch die original Kernelsourcen, 2.6.5 von kernel.org^^

Demnach hast du keinen Anspruch auf Hilfe und somit darfst du es grundsätzlich nicht vorraussetzen bzw. erwarten.

Mensch tut mir Leid, so war das ja net gemeint, bei vielen Threds habe ich gesehen das viel geholfen wurde, daher war ich etwas enttäuscht.
