Ich habe das Problem, dass ich vor ein paar Tagen mir Postfix als Standard Mail Transport Agent draufgesetzt habe, aber es nicht richtig funktioniert. Ich kann Mails, die ich mir selber lokal zuschicke (exs@exs.homelinx.org) über Postfix annehmen. Aber wenn jemand anders versucht mir eine Mail an die oben genannte Andress zu schicken, wird sie nicht angenommen. Einmal vorweg, ja ich benutze einen Router, aber als ich den Test gemacht habe. Also, als ich einen anderen gebeten habe mir eine Mail zu schicken, habe ich meinen Router auf DMZ geschaltet. Da ich das nicht für immer vorhabe, wäre es nicht schlecht, wenn mir jemand mal kurz sagen könnte welchen Port Postfix zum "fetchen" nimmt, damit ich diesen in die "Port-Weiterleitungs"-Conf anpassen kann.

Hat jemand eine Idee zum ganzen?

PS: Mein Postfix ist ein Standalon Server, ohne SSH basiert auf Fedora Core 1.

Also postfix "fetcht" überhaupt nicht, sondern sitzt faul da und wartet, bis was ankommt. Und das standardmäßig auf Port 25 (smtp). Steht aber auch in dem von poweradmin angegebenen Thread.

Hilfreich wäre auch sicher eine genauere Beschreibung. Kommt überhaupt was zu postfix, also bis zu deinem Server? Log-Einträge?

Danke für deine Antwort Thom1. Sry, kenne mich mit Postfix wirklich nicht aus, konnte euch deswegen gleich am Anfang keine genauerere Beschreibung von meinem Problem geben. Ich weiss, dass Postfix nur "da sitzt", deswegen habe ich auch "fetcht" in "" geschrieben. Er sitzt nur da und "nimmt" die Sachen dann eben an. Also ich versuche mal so detaliert wie möglich das Problem zu beschreiben:

Ich benutze Fedora Core1. Als MTA ist nach der Installation default Sendmail gesetzt. Diesen default habe ich mit einem von Fedora mitgeliefertem GUI zu Postfix geändert. Ich habe vor kurzem jemanden gebeten mir eine Mail zu schreiben. Dieser jemand seitzt nicht im lokalen Netz, sondern ist irgendwo im Internet. Er hat mir eine Mail geschrieben und als ich nach 5 min mit mutt mein /var/mail/exs gucken gehen wollte war nichts eingetroffen. Postfix ist lokal auf meinem Rechner installiert. Und wenn ich auf meinem Rechner eine Mail zu mir selber schreiben, also zu "127.0.0.1" bzw. localhost kann ich mit mutt ein neues Eintreffen meiner eben von mir gesandet Mail sehen.

Ich kann mir selber Mails schicken, aber andere die irgendwo im Internet sitzen nicht und ich weiss nicht wieso. Deswegen habe ich dieses Thread hier geschrieben.

Habe ich das richtig verstanden, dass der Port 110 also gar nicht benötigt wird? Alles geht über Port 25?

Port 110 ist für POP3 zuständig, also wenn du mails von deinem provider abholst.
Möchstest du mails versenden, läüft das über smtp, Port 25!
