rsync zwischen mac osx und fedora linux

Will meine Daten auf einem Mac und einem PC aktuell halten mit rsync.

Mac: Mac OS X 10.3.2, rsyncX 2.6.0.

PC: Fedora Core 1, rsync 2.5.7.

Habe auf die inetd.conf (Mac) bzw. xinetd.conf (PC) um den 837 Eintrag (rsync Port) ergaenzt, /etc/services ueberprueft, auf beiden entsprechende rsyncd.conf erstellt, z.B. auf dem Mac:


#/etc/rsyncd.conf

hosts deny = *
uid = nobody
gid = nobody

[sync with epistasis]
comment = blabla
path = /USERS/my_user/Documents/sync
hosts allow = linuxmachine.somewhere.com
list = false
read inly = no

Aber es kommt...


rsync: failed to connect to linuxmachine.somewhere.com: Connection refused
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(88)

rsync: failed to connect to macosx.somewhere.com: Connection refused
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(83)

Hat jemand eine Idee?

Jemand hat mir gerade vorgeschlagen, subversion zu nehmen, und es hoert sich soweit sinnvoll an, also werde ich erstmal in die Richtung weiterrecherchieren.
