Fedora Core 2 test1 Available!

A test release of Fedora Core 2 is now available from Red Hat and at distinguished mirror sites near you, and is also available in the torrent. Fedora Core has expanded in this release to four binary ISO images and four source ISO images. This test release is specifically designed for testing the 2.6 kernel, GNOME 2.5, and KDE 3.2. Please file bugs via Bugzilla, Product Fedora Core, Version test1, Architecture i386 so that they are noticed and appropriately classified. Discuss this test release on fedora-test-list.

Nur um sicher zu gehn: Des is "nur" eine Testversion des heisst Fedora Core 2 wird bald kommen oder?

Ja die kommt März /April oder so irgendwo auf der Webseite haben die das versteckt. Da stand sogar ein geneues Datum. Aber denke das wird sich danach richten wann gnome 2.6 fertig ist. Und das wird sicher nicht vor April.

Wird sich aber IMHO bestimmt noch verschieben, da ja auch die test-1 später als ursprünglich geplant war, gekommen ist.

Hier ein Screenshot des neuen "Datei öffnen"-Dialogs. Meiner Meinung nach ist er noch nicht perfekt.

ein paar Verbessrungen wohl, zumindest wurden alle von redhat-* nach system-* umbenannt. Genaues dazu kann ich nicht sagen, weil ich die nie benutze.

naja, so wie der jetzt aussieht begeistert es mich auch nicht wirklich. ich hoffe der verändert sich noch mehr in die richtung der vorschläge die auf pro-linux.de in den news zu finden waren.

hab jetzt leider kein testpc zur verfügen (zweiter pc tot) .... möchte aber wissen ob z.B der packet-manager sich geändert hat:

um Folgefragen schonmal auszuweichen :)

Wenn du ne USB-Maus hast, bekommst du die nachm Reboot mit einem /sbin/modprobe uhcd-hcd wieder (wenn ich mich nich gerade irre) und dann musste noch yum install alsa und dann haste nah einem flotten alsamixer aufruf wieder Ton :)

Wenn du nen APT-get für Core 2 findest, nur her damit

Mein Gnome friert mir leider ab und zu ein. Zumindestens das Panel unten ...
