Bootsplash meckert: "error 9 while decompressing picture"

Hallo,

gerade habe ich einen Kernel 2.4.20 mit Bootsplash auf einem VIA EPIA M-Board kompiliert. Das System bootet jedoch ohne Bootsplash, obwohl ich ein entsprechendes initrd erzeugt und in grub angegeben habe.
Beim Aufruf von dmesg sehe ich dann folgende Fehlermeldung:

Hab's inzwischen gelöst: Das Problem war, dass das ursprüngliche jpeg mit Photoshop erstellt worden ist. Ich habe es einfach nochmal mit Gimp geöffnet und wieder gespeichert, anschließend ging es.
