bochs: Windows 98 SE stürzt bei Installation ab

Um das Setup überhaupt starten zu können gebe ich "setup /is" ein. Mit /is wird der Test am Anfang unterdrückt, weil sonst schon dort eine Fehlermeldung kommt. Das Setup läuft von da an ganz gut, Einstellungen werden gemacht und die Dateien werden auf die "Festplatte" kopiert. Nach dem Reboot, wenn eigentlich schon fast alles fertig ist, bricht er bei ca. 17% ab und es kommt folgende Fehlermeldung und ein freundlicher Bluescreen strahlt mich an ;)

bei mir lief win98se nichtmal auf echter hardware vernünftig, hast du mal das normale win98 probiert?

Danke, aber ich habs geschaft, indem ich bochs selbst kompiliert habe. jetzt läufts :)

Darum hatte ich das Problem wohl nie, habe das schon immer selbst übersetzt.

Ist es wirklich so, dass die ne2000 Emulation nur mit root-rechten funktioniert? :eek:

Das Problem ist wohl das tuntap Interface. Eine andere Alternative kenne ich nicht, außer bochs mit "sudo" zu starten.
