KDE 2.2.2 Updaten auf KDE3.1.4 will nicht

Hallo Linux Gemeinde,

ich habe hier gesucht und nix gefunden, ich habe gegoogelt und nix gefunden und jetzt muss ich fragen :(

Also ich versuche Debian Woody 3.0.r1 vom KDE 2.2.2 auf KDE3.1.4 upzudaten.

Da ich erst seit ein paar Tagen unter Debian arbeite und noch keine Erfahrungen mit apt-get
habe, habe ich mich hier in Forum umgeschaut und bin wie folgt vorgegangen :

0. su -
1. Eintrag in source.list ----> deb http://download.kde.org/stable/3.1.4/Debian stable main
2. apt-get update
3. apt-get install

mit dem Ergebnis

debian:~# apt-get update

hast du es schon hiermit versucht?

apt-get install kdebase

apt-get upgrade war wohl eher der Befehl, den du gesucht hast.
Du solltest aber alte KDE Pakete entfernen, bevor du die neuen installierst. Und ich würde ein Update auf Sid in Erwägung ziehen.

es scheint wirklich als ob mann zuerst alle alten KDE 2.2.2 teile entfernen muß, und da ist mein nächstes Problem:

wie kann ich sicherstellen, daß wirklich alles von KDE 2.2.2 entfernt wird ? :confused:
und wie kann ich danach KDE 3.1.4 ( komplett ) in Deutsch installieren ? :confused:

apt-get remove kdelibs

Dann apt-cache search kdebase um zu sehen, ob deine 3.x Pakete eine eigene Nummer haben.
Dann apt-get install paket

Viel einfach wäre ein upgrade auf sid....

ansonsten wenn du bei woody bleiben und es mit KDE nochmals versuchen willst.
Meine Installation von KDE:
1. "deb http://download.kde.org/stable/latest/Debian stable main" in die sources.list eintragen
2. apt-get update
3. apt-get install kdebase kdm kde-i18n-de
fertig.
So hat es bei mir geklappt.

/etc/apt/source.list eintragen.

ps die Auslastung des Arbeitsspeichers ist nach dem Update um ca 15% gesunken ( free )
