hallo zusammen,
habe ein testsystem mit suse8.1,postfix, qpopper,fetchmail eingerichte um mails von diversen postfächern abzuholen. die mails sollen über einen windows client mit outlook express abgeholt werden. systemmeldungen werden auch zugestellt, und mails an linux-user lassen sich auch zustelle. mails lassen sich versenden nur mit dem empfangen haut es nicht hin !! kein postfach läst sich über den linuxmailserver zustelle. sehe zwar das welche vorhanden sind, aber sie werden nicht runtergeladen.kenne mich mit linux noch nicht so gut aus und hoffe jemand kann mir erklären was ich hier falsch gemacht habe.

Wie sieht denn die .fetchmailrc aus?
Sie sollte in etwa wie folgt aussehen:

danke
habe mal fetchall dazu gegeben ansonsten hatte ich alles.

aber das war es wohl nicht.
kann es sein das die daten nicht an postfix übergeben werden zumal ja der interne mailverkehr hinhaut.

Also meine fetchmailrc sieht z.B. so aus:

poll pop.btx.dtag.de protocol POP3 user username password geheim to user_xy@domain

wobei username "test" wäre, wenn meine Mailadresse test@t-online wäre. Also ohne @t-online.de. Daher wohl auch die eigenartigen Zeilen bei dir:

Die "to user" -Angabe leitet es dann an den lokalen User weiter bzw. mit dyndns o.ä. an lokaler_user@dyndns.xyz

hole die mail nicht nur bei t-online ab !! aber scheine da schon was falsch gemacht zu haben. werde das mal ändern. aber das postfach ist zur zeit eh leer.

es gibt bei mir nur die /var/log/mail und die ist verdammt voll !
wonach sollte ich hier suchen? da fehlt mir doch etwas zuviel die kenne :)

Was passiert, wenn Du im client ein Konto "dirk" mit der IP des Servers einrichtest und abfragst?

hast du in /etc/postfix/canonical
die lokalen Mailnamen mit deinen mailadressen verknüpft? ich weiss zwar nicht ob das der fehler ist aber das könnte eine Möglichkeit sein.
bei mir sieht das in etwa so aus:

micha@heim.netz DockhornM@xxx.de

hi, genau das ist das problem. der client ist in der lage lokale mails abzuholen (z.b. mails an root durch umleitung, oder auch mails die ich an den user dirk sende)jedoch kommen keine mails aus den postfächern auserhalb meines netzes bei mir an (zumindest sehe ich sie nicht). webmin zeigt mir bei postfix ebenfalls leere postfächer an.
ich bin schon in versuchung das system neu aufzusetzen, und es noch mal zu versuchen.
habe den ganzen weg der konfiguration bestimmt 10 mal nachgegangen, aber finde es einfach nicht.

falls du mehrere User auf deiner maschine hast, versuche doch mal mit den lokalen mailadressen mails zu versenden, da siehst du ob die lokale mailzustellung schon klappt oder nicht. Da weisst du ob es an fetchmail oder and postfix liegt.

und poste doch mal deine main.cf

hi, erstmal danke an euch für die mühe.
da es nur ein testsystem ist werde ich mir mal ein andere beschreibung holen und es nochmal versuchen. vorteil ist ja das man was lernt.
