    netzwerk startet nicht

    Servus

    bei meinem Mint 18.1 Mate startet öfter mal der Netzwerkmanager nicht.

    Bei Mate wird das Programm nm-applet gestartet.

    netzwerk.png

    Aber leider ist in der Taskleiste trotzdem kein Symbol, und es ist kein Netzwerk da.

    Muss dann immer

    Code:
    sudo service network-manager start
    im Terminal eingeben, und den Befehl kann ich nicht in den Autostart tun, da das Passwort abgefragt wird.

    Was könnte das Problem sein?

    Wird das System denn sauber "gebootet" oder kommst Du aus irgendwelchen Suspend-Zuständen?

    Wenn das Problem wieder auftritt einfach auch mal die Systemlogs und (vor dem manuellen Start) den Status des Dienstes prüfen.

    Grad ist es wieder passiert nach Neustart.

    Nein kein Suspend oder so was, richtiger Neustart.

    dmesg und journalctl sind die passenden Befehle dafür. Für ältere Logs kannst du auch gnome-system-log nutzen, ist aber nicht mehr Zeit gemäß, also lieber direkt mit diesen fantastischen Konsolen Programmen anfreunden

    [edit] /etc/network/interfaces ist ok so, brauchst du nicht weiter drauf achten, ggf. merken, dass die genau so aussehen muss, wenn du mit den Netzwerkmanager arbeiten willst.

    Nach 30 Sekunden hängt es ja auch einige Minuten, ich habe da irgendwie noch was im Hinterkopf, dass der promiscuous mode bei Brücken doof ist - bri klingt für mich nach Brücke, ich würde mal probiert den auszuschalten. Alternativ halt auch mal die Logs zum Zeitpunkt checken, muss ja irgendeinen Grund für diese lange Pause (ca. 200 Sekunden) geben.

    [edit]Falls du das Linux unter Windows startet (scheint ja in einer VM zu laufen), musst du diesen promiscuous mode in Windows abschalten.

    Das verstehe ich jetzt nicht.

    Der Systemstart geht recht flott, wenn du das meinst.

    Linux ist direkt installiert, in der VM hab ich ein Win7.

    Ne tut der nicht, systemd gaukelt dir das vor. Wie auch immer irgendwas läuft in ein Timeout und behindert das Netz, da in der Zwischenzeit der Desktop da ist... jaja systemd macht alles becher

    [edit]Hintergrund für meine Aussage "promiscuous mode abschalten", liegt daran, dass ich vor einigen Jahren mal mit coLinux gearbeitet habe (lange lange her), jedenfalls hatte ich da ähnlich Probleme, siehe:

    Denke das sowas wie Autostart schon geht, das Problem wird sein, dass der zu früh getriggert wird, du hast halt erst nach 236 Sekunden Netz

    hmm das natürlich schade und du solltest da dann auch wirklich ansetzen, also sicherer im englischen werden. So als weitere Schicht, leg dir halt ein Desktop Icon an, beim Klick wird der entsprechende Befehl ausgeführt, so kommst du dann immerhin um die Konsole...
