Suse 11.1 Auflösung wird falsch eingestellt

Hallo,

ich habe auf einem Rechner auf dem vorher Suse 11.0 mit KDE 4.0 lief Suse 11.1 installiert. Während der Installation wird die richtige Grafikarte und der Monitor mit der richtigen Bezeichnung und den passenden Werten 1280x1024 angezeigt. Nach dem Abschluß der Installation wird der Bildschirm schwarz und meldet "out of range". Mit Alt+F4 habe ich im Textmodus den Rechner neu gestartet und beim Booten kommt es dann zum gleichen Fehler. Mit failsafe startet der Rechner und läuft mit einer Auflösung von 1024x768. Yast zeigt nach wie vor die richtige Grafikkarte und Monitor an. Wenn ich dann etwas ändere und SAX startet ist die Schrift nicht mehr lesbar usw. Kann ich in eine Konfigurationsdatei meine "Wunschdaten" eintragen und ein überschreiben verhindern?

Was für eine Karte? Wie sieht Deine xorg.conf aus? Nutzt Du irgendwelche extra-Treiber und wenn ja, wie hast Du die installiert? Stimmen die eingestellten Frequenzen mit den Daten des Handbuchs des Monitors überein?

Es ist eine Onboardlösung Intel GMA855. Die Frequenzen sind nicht fest angegeben
30-83kHZ und 50-76Hz.
ich hab die xorg.conf hoffentlich richtig eingefügt

Seltsam ist für mich, das sich beim Start von SAX2 die Bildqualität so verschlechtert das die Zahlen und Schrift nicht zu lesen sind.

Ich habe inzwischen noch etwas experimentiert. Da ich kein Handbuch zu dem Monitor besitze hab ich im Bildschrimmenü nachgesehen und da steht H. 45,5kHz und V 56,5Hz. Wenn out of range erscheint steht dort 33,5kHz und 1,6Hz. darum hab ich im Yast unter Monitor den Startbereich auf 50Hz hochgesetzt und beim Test kam wieder die out of range Meldung mit den gleichen Zahlen. Wieso verhält sich das Sytem so und warum werden die nach der Installation, vorm ersten Start angegebenen Werte 1280x1024 und sicher auch der Rest nicht übernommen? Wie kann ich das Sytem entsprechend einstellen?
Es muß 41,6Hz und nicht 1,6Hz heißen, das wäre ein ziemliches geflacker.

Was benutzt du denn für ein Monitorkabel? Ich hatte mal Probleme, als ich eine DVI-Kabel benutzt habe, bei dem nicht alle Pins belegt waren.
Teste mal, ob das Problem auch mit einem VGA-Kabel + Adapter auftritt.
